CVE-2024-40924 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2025-10-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/dpt: Make DPT object unshrinkable In some scenarios, the DPT object gets shrunk but the actual framebuffer did not and thus its still there on the DPT's vm->bound_list. Then it tries to rewrite the PTEs via a stale CPU mapping. This causes panic. [vsyrjala: Add TODO comment] (cherry picked from commit 51064d471c53dcc8eddd2333c3f1c1d9131ba36c)
CVE-2024-40983 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2025-10-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: force a dst refcount before doing decryption As it says in commit 3bc07321ccc2 ("xfrm: Force a dst refcount before entering the xfrm type handlers"): "Crypto requests might return asynchronous. In this case we leave the rcu protected region, so force a refcount on the skb's destination entry before we enter the xfrm type input/output handlers." On TIPC decryption path it has the same problem, and skb_dst_force() should be called before doing decryption to avoid a possible crash. Shuang reported this issue when this warning is triggered: [] WARNING: include/net/dst.h:337 tipc_sk_rcv+0x1055/0x1ea0 [tipc] [] Kdump: loaded Tainted: G W --------- - - 4.18.0-496.el8.x86_64+debug [] Workqueue: crypto cryptd_queue_worker [] RIP: 0010:tipc_sk_rcv+0x1055/0x1ea0 [tipc] [] Call Trace: [] tipc_sk_mcast_rcv+0x548/0xea0 [tipc] [] tipc_rcv+0xcf5/0x1060 [tipc] [] tipc_aead_decrypt_done+0x215/0x2e0 [tipc] [] cryptd_aead_crypt+0xdb/0x190 [] cryptd_queue_worker+0xed/0x190 [] process_one_work+0x93d/0x17e0

There's a vulnerability in podman where an attacker may use the kube play command to overwrite host files when the kube file container a Secrete or a ConfigMap volume mount and such volume contains a symbolic link to a host file path. In a successful attack, the attacker can only control the target file to be overwritten but not the content to be written into the file. Binary-Affected: podman Upstream-version-introduced: v4.0.0 Upstream-version-fixed: v5.6.1
CVE-2025-6395 1 Redhat 5 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel E4s and 2 more 2025-10-06 6.5 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the GnuTLS software in _gnutls_figure_common_ciphersuite().
CVE-2025-32990 2 Gnu, Redhat 7 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 4 more 2025-10-06 6.5 Medium
A heap-buffer-overflow (off-by-one) flaw was found in the GnuTLS software in the template parsing logic within the certtool utility. When it reads certain settings from a template file, it allows an attacker to cause an out-of-bounds (OOB) NULL pointer write, resulting in memory corruption and a denial-of-service (DoS) that could potentially crash the system.
CVE-2025-32989 2 Gnu, Redhat 7 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 4 more 2025-10-06 5.3 Medium
A heap-buffer-overread vulnerability was found in GnuTLS in how it handles the Certificate Transparency (CT) Signed Certificate Timestamp (SCT) extension during X.509 certificate parsing. This flaw allows a malicious user to create a certificate containing a malformed SCT extension (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.11129.2.4.2) that contains sensitive data. This issue leads to the exposure of confidential information when GnuTLS verifies certificates from certain websites when the certificate (SCT) is not checked correctly.
CVE-2025-32988 2 Gnu, Redhat 7 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 4 more 2025-10-06 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GnuTLS. A double-free vulnerability exists in GnuTLS due to incorrect ownership handling in the export logic of Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries containing an otherName. If the type-id OID is invalid or malformed, GnuTLS will call asn1_delete_structure() on an ASN.1 node it does not own, leading to a double-free condition when the parent function or caller later attempts to free the same structure. This vulnerability can be triggered using only public GnuTLS APIs and may result in denial of service or memory corruption, depending on allocator behavior.
CVE-2024-12243 1 Redhat 5 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more 2025-10-06 5.3 Medium
A flaw was found in GnuTLS, which relies on libtasn1 for ASN.1 data processing. Due to an inefficient algorithm in libtasn1, decoding certain DER-encoded certificate data can take excessive time, leading to increased resource consumption. This flaw allows a remote attacker to send a specially crafted certificate, causing GnuTLS to become unresponsive or slow, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
CVE-2024-12133 1 Redhat 5 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more 2025-10-06 5.3 Medium
A flaw in libtasn1 causes inefficient handling of specific certificate data. When processing a large number of elements in a certificate, libtasn1 takes much longer than expected, which can slow down or even crash the system. This flaw allows an attacker to send a specially crafted certificate, causing a denial of service attack.
CVE-2023-5870 2 Postgresql, Redhat 22 Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more 2025-10-04 2.2 Low
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL involving the pg_cancel_backend role that signals background workers, including the logical replication launcher, autovacuum workers, and the autovacuum launcher. Successful exploitation requires a non-core extension with a less-resilient background worker and would affect that specific background worker only. This issue may allow a remote high privileged user to launch a denial of service (DoS) attack.
CVE-2023-39417 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat 10 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security and 7 more 2025-10-04 7.5 High
IN THE EXTENSION SCRIPT, a SQL Injection vulnerability was found in PostgreSQL if it uses @extowner@, @extschema@, or @extschema:...@ inside a quoting construct (dollar quoting, '', or ""). If an administrator has installed files of a vulnerable, trusted, non-bundled extension, an attacker with database-level CREATE privilege can execute arbitrary code as the bootstrap superuser.
CVE-2023-5868 2 Postgresql, Redhat 22 Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more 2025-10-04 4.3 Medium
A memory disclosure vulnerability was found in PostgreSQL that allows remote users to access sensitive information by exploiting certain aggregate function calls with 'unknown'-type arguments. Handling 'unknown'-type values from string literals without type designation can disclose bytes, potentially revealing notable and confidential information. This issue exists due to excessive data output in aggregate function calls, enabling remote users to read some portion of system memory.
CVE-2023-5869 2 Postgresql, Redhat 27 Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 24 more 2025-10-04 8.8 High
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL that allows authenticated database users to execute arbitrary code through missing overflow checks during SQL array value modification. This issue exists due to an integer overflow during array modification where a remote user can trigger the overflow by providing specially crafted data. This enables the execution of arbitrary code on the target system, allowing users to write arbitrary bytes to memory and extensively read the server's memory.
CVE-2025-5914 2 Libarchive, Redhat 16 Libarchive, Confidential Compute Attestation, Discovery and 13 more 2025-10-03 7.3 High
A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library, specifically within the archive_read_format_rar_seek_data() function. This flaw involves an integer overflow that can ultimately lead to a double-free condition. Exploiting a double-free vulnerability can result in memory corruption, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition.
CVE-2025-8941 1 Redhat 11 Confidential Compute Attestation, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 8 more 2025-10-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in linux-pam. The pam_namespace module may improperly handle user-controlled paths, allowing local users to exploit symlink attacks and race conditions to elevate their privileges to root. This CVE provides a "complete" fix for CVE-2025-6020.
CVE-2025-7425 1 Redhat 13 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Insights Proxy and 10 more 2025-10-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in libxslt where the attribute type, atype, flags are modified in a way that corrupts internal memory management. When XSLT functions, such as the key() process, result in tree fragments, this corruption prevents the proper cleanup of ID attributes. As a result, the system may access freed memory, causing crashes or enabling attackers to trigger heap corruption.
