| A flaw was found in the file-pcx plugin in GIMP, affecting 32-bit builds only. When processing a PCX image file, the plugin calculates memory allocation sizes based on the image dimensions and the number of color planes. If a crafted file sets the number of planes to 4 alongside sufficiently large dimensions, the calculation exceeds the 32-bit integer limit and overflows, resulting in an undersized heap-based buffer allocation. This integer overflow issue results in a heap-based buffer overflow when the plugin subsequently writes image data into the undersized buffer, causing memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service. |
| Improper input validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Undertow component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.11.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.0.
UndertowEndpoint defaulted its headerFilterStrategy field to the base HttpHeaderFilterStrategy and pushed that instance into the UndertowHttpBinding it creates lazily, overwriting the UndertowHeaderFilterStrategy that DefaultUndertowHttpBinding installs in its own constructor. Unless a deployment supplied a custom binding or an explicit headerFilterStrategy, the undertow-specific filtering therefore never executed on endpoint-configured routes: the strategy object was constructed and immediately replaced before it could be consulted. The consequence is that the legacy websocket. Exchange-header prefix was not filtered at the undertow transport boundary in either direction, so an undertow HTTP consumer mapped inbound wire headers of that form onto the Exchange, where an undertow WebSocket producer reads them as dispatch directives and can be made to deliver to a peer other than the one the route selected; and header names that undertow itself does not accept were mapped onto the Exchange rather than being skipped. Rest DSL consumers were never affected, because UndertowComponent assigns UndertowRestHeaderFilterStrategy explicitly, which extends the undertow strategy. This is not a regression of CVE-2025-30177: the base HttpHeaderFilterStrategy configures the inbound Camel-prefix filter itself, so the protection introduced by that advisory continued to work through the base class and was never lost. What the change did was leave the undertow strategy orphaned on the endpoint path, with the effect that two subsequent corrections written into it - one skipping header names undertow rejects, one filtering the legacy websocket. prefix in both directions - were applied to a class the endpoint no longer used and never took effect in the releases that shipped them.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.9. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.4. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, configure the strategy explicitly rather than relying on the default, for example by binding an UndertowHeaderFilterStrategy in the registry and referencing it on the endpoint as undertow:http://0.0.0.0:8080/foo?headerFilterStrategy=#myStrategy, and additionally strip the dispatch headers at the trust boundary with removeHeaders(“websocket.*”). Note a residual limitation that upgrading does not remove: the undertow component deliberately keeps the websocket. values as part of its externally visible API contract, and UndertowProducer reads them with in.getHeader, which does not consult a HeaderFilterStrategy at all. The restored filtering is therefore defence in depth at the undertow transport boundary only. A route that carries an untrusted message from a non-undertow consumer into an undertow producer is not protected by this fix and must strip those headers itself. |
| Improper input validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Atmosphere Websocket component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.0.
The camel-atmosphere-websocket producer selects which connected WebSocket peers a message is delivered to through Exchange headers, and the string values of those headers sat outside the Camel namespace: websocket.connectionKey and websocket.connectionKey.list, along with websocket.sendToAll, websocket.eventType and websocket.errorType. WebsocketEndpoint extends ServletEndpoint and so inherits HttpHeaderFilterStrategy, which filters only the Camel and camel prefixes; the dotted names therefore fell outside the filtered namespace and were admitted in both directions by every HTTP-family consumer. In a route bridging an HTTP consumer into an atmosphere-websocket producer, an external sender could supply the list header and take over the producer's dispatch decision. WebsocketProducer.process tests the list header before the single-key header, so an injected value discarded the recipient the route had selected: a notification intended for one connected client could be suppressed, or delivered instead to a different client whose connection key the sender knows. The header need not be a query parameter and need not be supplied as a list literally - Camel's HTTP binding promotes a repeated header name, and a bracketed value, to a List when mapping onto the Exchange - so an ordinary inbound HTTP header is sufficient to reach the list-valued branch. This is distinct from CVE-2026-55993, which concerns the consumer-side query-parameter path in the same component. The behaviour dates back to the introduction of these constants, first released in 2.17.0, and was unchanged until this fix.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.9. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.4. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, strip the dispatch headers at the trust boundary before the producer, for example with removeHeaders(“websocket.*”) placed between the HTTP consumer and the atmosphere-websocket producer. Note that the fix renames the header string values into the Camel namespace, which is a breaking change for routes that set them by literal string: routes referencing the WebsocketConstants fields symbolically are unaffected, and the change is documented in the upgrade guides. As defence in depth, do not bridge an untrusted HTTP consumer directly into a WebSocket producer whose dispatch is header-driven without stripping the dispatch namespace first. |

| GNU Bison allows for an execution of an arbitrary program during HTML report generation due to improper handling of grammar-defined configuration variables. A grammar file can override the executable used for the XML‑to‑HTML transformation step via %define tool.xsltproc, which is accepted without restriction and passed directly to execvp().
When running bison --html on a attacker-provided grammar, this behavior allows execution of an arbitrary program with the privileges of the Bison process.
Maintainers of this project were notified about this vulnerability, and fixed the issue in commit 3169c1e7a2c6acc4c59dfcf8b089896d6881925b. However, they did not provide vulnerable version range. Version 3.8.2 was tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested but might also be vulnerable. |

| Improper Input Validation, Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component ('Injection') vulnerability in Apache Camel Knative component
The Knative consumer in camel-knative maps inbound CloudEvent attributes onto Camel message headers. In binary content mode the HTTP-header path filters Camel-internal headers through KnativeHttpHeaderFilterStrategy, but in structured content mode (Content-Type application/cloudevents+json) the CloudEvent extension fields are read directly from the JSON body and every extension key is copied into the Exchange headers without applying any HeaderFilterStrategy (CloudEventProcessors, spec versions 1.0, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2). As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can inject Camel-internal headers (e.g. CamelHttpUri, CamelHttpPath, CamelFileName) via a structured-mode CloudEvent request, matched case-insensitively against Camel's header map. When a route forwards messages from a Knative consumer to a header-driven component such as camel-http or camel-file, the injected headers override configured values, enabling server-side request forgery (SSRF), path traversal or message-dispatch redirection depending on the route. This is an incomplete fix of the inbound header filtering previously added for the binary content-mode path, and is the same pattern addressed in camel-cxf/camel-knative (CVE-2026-47323), camel-undertow (CVE-2025-30177), the broader incoming-header filter (CVE-2025-27636 and CVE-2025-29891), and the non-HTTP strategies (CVE-2026-40453).
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 3.15.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.21.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.4. | RansomLook contains a path traversal vulnerability in the handling of the screen field associated with group posts. The GroupPost.get API handler concatenates the database-controlled screen value directly with the application's source/ directory and opens the resulting path without verifying that the resolved file remains within the intended directory.
Because the screen field is free-form and can be populated either through the administrative post editor or through data imported from a remote RansomLook instance, a malicious upstream instance can provide traversal sequences such as ../config/generic.json. When the affected post is subsequently retrieved through the API, RansomLook resolves and reads the attacker-controlled path and returns the contents of the referenced file Base64-encoded in the API response.
This can allow an attacker (being admin) controlling imported post data to read arbitrary files accessible to the RansomLook process, potentially exposing sensitive configuration data, API credentials, password hashes, or other application secrets. The attack does not require the malicious upstream to possess an account on the affected RansomLook instance.
The vulnerability is addressed by resolving screen paths with os.path.realpath() and verifying that the resolved path remains beneath the application's source/ directory. Validation is performed both when values are written and immediately before files are read. Using canonical paths also prevents traversal through symbolic links that would bypass purely lexical path normalization checks. |
| RansomLook fails to enforce the privacy status of ransomware groups and markets when distributing newly collected victim posts to external notification channels. The post-processing logic checks whether an individual post is marked private but does not verify whether the group or market to which the post belongs is configured as private.
As a result, newly parsed victim information associated with a private group or market may be automatically published through enabled Rocket.Chat, Mastodon, Bluesky, and e-mail notification channels despite the entity being explicitly configured to prevent public disclosure.
A similar issue affects the public MISP feed. The feed previously determined privacy using groupinfo(), which only queries the group database. Consequently, victim information associated with private markets could be added to the public MISP feed because the corresponding market privacy flag was not evaluated.
An attacker or other unauthorized party able to access these public notification channels or the MISP feed may obtain victim information that was intended to remain private. Depending on the collected data, this may disclose victim names, ransomware activity, incident information, or other information associated with privately monitored groups and markets.
The fix introduces a common is_private_entity() check covering both groups and markets and prevents private entity posts from being distributed through external notification channels or the public MISP feed. Internal storage and dashboard alerting remain unaffected. |
