CVSS v3.1 |
| Tempo queries with large limits can cause large memory allocations which can impact the availability of the service, depending on its deployment strategy.
Mitigation can be done by setting max_result_limit in the search config, e.g. to 262144 (2^18). Alternatively, automatically restart the service. |
| NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. Prior to 6.5.1749.0, NanaZip's UFS and FFS image handler in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.Ufs.cpp validates the superblock block size only against the MINBSIZE lower bound and does not validate the fs_fsize fragment size, allowing attacker-controlled 32-bit fields to flow into indirect-block, directory, and extraction buffer allocations. A tiny crafted UFS image can force multi-gigabyte allocations during open or extraction, causing memory exhaustion or process termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.1749.0. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.0, an attacker can craft a PDF with repeated malformed cross-reference streams that cause pypdf to spend long runtimes recovering broken cross-reference table entries. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.0. |
| The public dashboard query endpoint does not limit request body size before processing, allowing unauthenticated attackers to trigger excessive memory allocation by sending arbitrarily large JSON payloads. This can lead to denial of service through memory exhaustion. No valid dashboard access token or authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. |
| Uncontrolled Recursion, Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache IoTDB.
When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap receiver's
readLength method calls itself recursively each time it recognises the
E-language prefix in socket data, with no depth limit. An unauthenticated
attacker can send a stream of repeated E-language prefixes that drives the
recursion arbitrarily deep, exhausting the receiver thread's JVM stack and
raising StackOverflowError.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue. |
| NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.3 and 2.12.12, an unauthenticated MQTT client could cause the server to retain large incomplete MQTT CONNECT packets before authentication completed, consuming server memory while the parser waited for the advertised MQTT packet length. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.3 and 2.12.12. |
| Micronaut Framework is a JVM-based full stack Java framework designed for building modular, easily testable JVM applications. From 4.3.0 to before 4.10.22, 3.10.6, and 3.8.14, TimeConverterRegistrar caches DateTimeFormatter instances in an unbounded ConcurrentHashMap<String, DateTimeFormatter> whose key is derived from the @Format annotation pattern concatenated with the locale from the HTTP Accept-Language header. Because Locale.forLanguageTag() accepts arbitrary BCP 47 private-use extensions (en-x-a001, en-x-a002, …), an unauthenticated attacker can generate an unlimited number of unique cache keys by sending requests with novel locale tags, growing the cache until heap memory is exhausted and the JVM crashes. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.10.22, 3.10.6, and 3.8.14. |
| The incremental HTML parser (html.parser.HTMLParser) allows for CPU
denial-of-service through repeated unterminated markup declarations when
processing uncontrolled data. |
| CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, an unauthenticated remote attacker that can reach a NetTcpBinding, NetNamedPipeBinding, or UnixDomainSocketBinding endpoint can trigger premature EOF handling in the CoreWCF net.tcp, net.pipe, or net.uds framing handshake and pin one server thread-pool worker at full CPU per connection. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1. |
| Gitea versions before 1.25.5 do not enforce a timeout on git grep searches, allowing expensive searches to consume server resources. |
| In HotelDruid 3.0.0 and 3.0.7, the unauthenticated database-setup endpoint creadb.php can be reached before setup is completed and performs database creation without locking. By sending many concurrent requests, an attacker can trigger a race condition during which verbose SQL error messages disclose the administrator username, password hash, and salt. The same race leaves the setup partially initialized, so the administrator can no longer log in with the credentials set during installation, resulting in a denial of service that requires reinstallation to recover. Remote exploitation additionally requires the installation to allow non-localhost access. The vulnerability was fixed in version 3.0.8. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.1, an attacker can craft a PDF with a page content stream containing a not terminated inline image, causing an infinite loop during inline image end marker detection such as when extracting page text. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.1. |
| pydantic-settings provides settings management using Pydantic. From 2.12.0 until 2.14.2, NestedSecretsSettingsSource reads secret values from files in a configured secrets_dir. When secrets_nested_subdir=True, a directory entry inside secrets_dir that is a symbolic link pointing outside secrets_dir is followed, so files outside the configured directory are read into settings values. The same code path bypasses the documented secrets_dir_max_size protection. An attacker or lower-privileged component able to influence entries in the configured secrets directory (for example, a writable or shared secrets mount) can turn this into an unintended local file read into settings and can defeat the advertised loading-size cap. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.14.2. |
| Immutable.js provides many Persistent Immutable data structures. Prior to 4.3.9 and 5.1.8, List#set, List#setSize, List#setIn, List#updateIn, and the functional set, setIn, and updateIn mishandle an index or size in the range 2 ** 30 to 2 ** 31 in setListBounds in src/List.js, causing an empty List to enter an uncatchable infinite loop, a populated List to allocate without bound until process abort, or setSize to silently wrap large values. This issue is fixed in versions 4.3.9 and 5.1.8. |
| A flaw was found in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (RHACS). Central does not limit the depth of GraphQL queries served on the authenticated GraphQL API. An authenticated user with a valid API token can send deeply nested queries that cause excessive resource consumption in Central, resulting in a denial of service for the management plane. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. From 0.22.0 to 0.23.0, the /v1/audio/transcriptions and /v1/audio/translations routes call request.file.read() to fully materialize an uploaded audio file into memory before vLLM checks the documented VLLM_MAX_AUDIO_CLIP_FILESIZE_MB compressed upload size limit (default 25 MB) later in the speech-to-text preprocessing step, so an API caller who can reach those routes can submit an oversized multipart upload and cause vLLM to allocate memory proportional to the uploaded file size before the request is rejected as too large, creating memory pressure or terminating the process depending on deployment resource limits. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0. |
| Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. All versions prior to 24.0.10; versions 25.0.0 through those before 36.0.11; versions 37.0.0 through those before 44.0.3; and versions 45.0.0 and 45.0.1 contain a native implementation of WASIp1 which suffers from a leak in the fd_renumber function where the file descriptor being renumbered to is not properly closed. Wasmtime's implementation erroneously only updated the table of descriptors for WASIp1 and didn't update the underlying table of descriptors used by the host. This behavior means that while fd_renumber works correctly from a guest's perspective it ends up leaking resources in the host that aren't cleaned up until the corresponding Store is destroyed. In a loop, guests can use fd_renumber to cause hosts to exhaust both resources and file descriptors. This bug only affects the native implementation of WASIp1, meaning that only runtimes which load core wasm modules and expose fd_renumber are affected. Runtimes are additionally only affected if they expose the ability to acquire a file descriptor, such as opening a file. For runtimes that deny access to files they are unaffected. This issue has been fixed in versions 24.0.10, 36.0.11, 44.0.3, and 45.0.2. |
| melange allows users to build apk packages using declarative pipelines. In version 0.40.5 and prior, melange update-cache downloads URIs from build configs via io.Copy without any size limit or HTTP client timeout (pkg/renovate/cache/cache.go). An attacker-controlled URI in a melange config can cause unbounded disk writes, exhausting disk on the build runne. Version 0.43.4 contains a patch. |
| BeyondTrust Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access contain a high-severity pre-authentication vulnerability in the network communication subsystem. Insufficient validation of client-supplied input may allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to trigger a denial-of-service condition affecting appliance availability. |
| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache IoTDB.
Some interface fails to impose reasonable
limits on the time span and aggregation interval of the query. An attacker
can construct a request with extreme parameters (e.g., a very large time
range combined with a minimal interval). This forces the DataNode to build
an enormous result set in memory, which exhausts the Java heap and causes
the DataNode process to crash.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.3.3 before 2.0.8.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.8, which fixes the issue. |
