A security issue exists within the x86 Microsoft Installer File (MSI), installed with FTLinx. Authenticated attackers with valid Windows user credentials can initiate a repair and hijack the resulting console window. This allows the launching of a command prompt running with SYSTEM-level privileges, allowing full access to all files, processes, and system resources. |
Mojolicious versions from 7.28 for Perl will generate weak HMAC session cookie secrets via "mojo generate app" by default
When creating a default app skeleton with the "mojo generate app" tool, a weak secret is written to the application's configuration file using the insecure rand() function, and used for authenticating and protecting the integrity of the application's sessions. This may allow an attacker to brute force the application's session keys. |
Mojolicious versions from 0.999922 for Perl uses a hard coded string, or the application's class name, as an HMAC session cookie secret by default.
These predictable default secrets can be exploited by an attacker to forge session cookies. An attacker who knows or guesses the secret could compute valid HMAC signatures for the session cookie, allowing them to tamper with or hijack another user’s session. |
Improper access control in Azure Connected Machine Agent allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
Use after free in Xbox allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
Reliance on untrusted inputs in a security decision in Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) Enclave allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
Use after free in Windows Digital Media allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
Improper access control in Azure Connected Machine Agent allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
A security issue exists within the Rockwell Automation Driver Package x64 Microsoft Installer File (MSI) repair functionality, installed with FTLinx. Authenticated attackers with valid Windows Users credentials can initiate a repair and hijack the resulting console window for vbpinstall.exe. This allows the launching of a command prompt running with SYSTEM-level privileges, allowing full access to all files, processes, and system resources. |
Malicious script injection ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Apache Geode web-api (REST). This vulnerability allows an attacker that tricks a logged-in user into clicking a specially-crafted link to execute code on the returned page, which could lead to theft of the user's session information and even account takeover.
This issue affects Apache Geode: all versions prior to 1.15.2
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.15.2, which fixes the issue. |
Microsoft is aware of vulnerabilities in the third party Agere Modem driver that ships natively with supported Windows operating systems. This is an announcement of the upcoming removal of ltmdm64.sys driver. The driver has been removed in the October cumulative update.
Fax modem hardware dependent on this specific driver will no longer work on Windows.
Microsoft recommends removing any existing dependencies on this hardware. |
Improper access control in Microsoft PowerShell allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
Insertion of sensitive information into log file in Windows Failover Cluster allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
Improper authentication in Windows SMB Client allows an unauthorized attacker to perform tampering over a network. |
Exposure of sensitive information to an unauthorized actor in Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Driver allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
