CVE-2017-5337 | 3 Gnu, Opensuse, Redhat | 3 Gnutls, Leap, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
Multiple heap-based buffer overflows in the read_attribute function in GnuTLS before 3.3.26 and 3.5.x before 3.5.8 allow remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted OpenPGP certificate.
CVE-2017-5932 | 1 Gnu | 1 Bash | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The path autocompletion feature in Bash 4.4 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted filename starting with a " (double quote) character and a command substitution metacharacter.
CVE-2017-9753 | 1 Gnu | 1 Binutils | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The versados_mkobject function in bfd/versados.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, does not initialize a certain data structure, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted binary file, as demonstrated by mishandling of this file during "objdump -D" execution.
CVE-2016-10324 | 1 Gnu | 1 Osip | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In libosip2 in GNU oSIP 4.1.0, a malformed SIP message can lead to a heap buffer overflow in the osip_clrncpy() function defined in osipparser2/osip_port.c.
CVE-2017-13089 | 3 Debian, Gnu, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Wget, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The http.c:skip_short_body() function is called in some circumstances, such as when processing redirects. When the response is sent chunked in wget before 1.19.2, the chunk parser uses strtol() to read each chunk's length, but doesn't check that the chunk length is a non-negative number. The code then tries to skip the chunk in pieces of 512 bytes by using the MIN() macro, but ends up passing the negative chunk length to connect.c:fd_read(). As fd_read() takes an int argument, the high 32 bits of the chunk length are discarded, leaving fd_read() with a completely attacker controlled length argument.
CVE-2018-1000156 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Patch and 11 more | 2025-04-14 | N/A |
GNU Patch version 2.7.6 contains an input validation vulnerability when processing patch files, specifically the EDITOR_PROGRAM invocation (using ed) can result in code execution. This attack appear to be exploitable via a patch file processed via the patch utility. This is similar to FreeBSD's CVE-2015-1418 however although they share a common ancestry the code bases have diverged over time.
CVE-2016-6262 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Libidn, Leap and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
idn in libidn before 1.33 might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive memory information by reading a zero byte as input, which triggers an out-of-bounds read, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-8948.
CVE-2016-6323 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Fedora, Glibc, Opensuse | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The makecontext function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.25 creates execution contexts incompatible with the unwinder on ARM EABI (32-bit) platforms, which might allow context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (hang), as demonstrated by applications compiled using gccgo, related to backtrace generation.
CVE-2016-6263 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libidn | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The stringprep_utf8_nfkc_normalize function in lib/nfkc.c in libidn before 1.33 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and crash) via crafted UTF-8 data.
CVE-2016-7444 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 2 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The gnutls_ocsp_resp_check_crt function in lib/x509/ocsp.c in GnuTLS before 3.4.15 and 3.5.x before 3.5.4 does not verify the serial length of an OCSP response, which might allow remote attackers to bypass an intended certificate validation mechanism via vectors involving trailing bytes left by gnutls_malloc.
CVE-2016-7098 | 1 Gnu | 1 Wget | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
Race condition in wget 1.17 and earlier, when used in recursive or mirroring mode to download a single file, might allow remote servers to bypass intended access list restrictions by keeping an HTTP connection open.
CVE-2014-3424 | 2 Gnu, Mageia Project | 2 Emacs, Mageia | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
lisp/net/tramp-sh.el in GNU Emacs 24.3 and earlier allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a /tmp/tramp.##### temporary file.
CVE-2016-6261 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Libidn, Leap | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The idna_to_ascii_4i function in lib/idna.c in libidn before 1.33 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and crash) via 64 bytes of input.
CVE-2015-2806 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
Stack-based buffer overflow in asn1_der_decoding in libtasn1 before 4.4 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via unknown vectors.
CVE-2015-1197 | 1 Gnu | 1 Cpio | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
cpio 2.11, when using the --no-absolute-filenames option, allows local users to write to arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a file in an archive.
CVE-2014-8503 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Binutils and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
Stack-based buffer overflow in the ihex_scan function in bfd/ihex.c in GNU binutils 2.24 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly have other unspecified impact via a crafted ihex file.
CVE-2014-8484 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Binutils and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The srec_scan function in bfd/srec.c in libdbfd in GNU binutils before 2.25 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a small S-record.
CVE-2014-1959 | 1 Gnu | 1 Gnutls | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
lib/x509/verify.c in GnuTLS before 3.1.21 and 3.2.x before 3.2.11 treats version 1 X.509 certificates as intermediate CAs, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended restrictions by leveraging a X.509 V1 certificate from a trusted CA to issue new certificates.
CVE-2001-1593 | 1 Gnu | 1 A2ps | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
The tempname_ensure function in lib/routines.h in a2ps 4.14 and earlier, as used by the spy_user function and possibly other functions, allows local users to modify arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary file.
