CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix overflow of jump offset in constant blinding
bpf_jit_blind_insn() rewrites 'if rX op imm goto off' into:
AX = imm ^ rnd
AX ^= rnd
if rX op AX goto off
and subtracts 2 from off when the jump is backward. off is s16, so
-32767 and -32768 wrap and the jump goes 32767 insns forward, past the
end of the prog. The jump is inside the patch, hence bpf_adj_branches()
doesn't check it. The kernel crashes when such prog runs with
bpf_jit_harden=2.
Return -ERANGE in such case. bpf_jit_blind_constants() fails the same
way when blinding of other insns moves a jump out of range. |
| libtta through 2.3 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in tta_decoder_init_get_info() that allows attackers to cause a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit builds via unvalidated header fields. Attackers can supply a crafted .tta file with a sample rate of 1 and large samples value, wrapping the seek table allocation and crashing applications. |
| unarr through 1.1.1 contains an off-by-one heap-based buffer overflow in tar_get_name() in tar/parse-tar.c, reachable through the ar_entry_get_name() API. Attackers can supply a crafted TAR archive with a full ustar prefix and name to write a NUL byte past the allocation, corrupting heap memory and crashing the process. |
| JavaCV provides Java interfaces to OpenCV, FFmpeg, and other multimedia libraries. Prior to 1.5.14, IPCameraFrameGrabber doubles a 32-bit buffer capacity without checking for overflow or bounding the parsed Content-Length. An application consumes an MJPEG response from a malicious camera endpoint or a tampered plaintext stream. The source can return an oversized Content-Length header in an MJPEG stream. Successful exploitation can trap the frame-grabbing thread in a permanent CPU-spinning loop and deny service. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.14. |
| smpeg through 2.0.0 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in stream_header() in MPEGsystem.cpp that allows attackers to wrap packet_size by declaring an undersized packet length. Attackers can supply a crafted MPEG file opened via SMPEG_new, SMPEG_new_rwops or SMPEG_new_data to trigger a reachable assertion or out-of-bounds copy, crashing the application. |
| A flaw was found in the file-psd plugin in GIMP. When generating a thumbnail preview for a specially crafted PSD (Photoshop Document) image file, an integer overflow occurs during the multiplication of values from an embedded JPEG header. This leads to an undersized heap allocation, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow when the image data is decoded. This buffer overflow corrupts adjacent heap objects, allowing for a controlled memory write that can result in an application crash or arbitrary code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: fix plen overflow in btintel_pcie_recv_frame()
plen is u16 and computed as HDR_SIZE + dlen. For ACL/ISO frames dlen
is a 16-bit field, so a value >= 0xFFFC wraps the sum, bypassing the
"skb->len < plen" check and letting skb_trim() truncate the packet.
Widen plen to u32 so the addition cannot wrap. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: adc: ade9000: handle Phase C dip events in IRQ1 handler
ADE9000_ST1_CROSSING_DEPTH is the exclusive upper bound for scanning the
STATUS1 event bits, so a value of 25 left out the highest event bit,
ADE9000_ST1_DIPC_BIT (bit 25). Phase C dip events were never reported.
Bump the value to 26 so bit 25 is scanned. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix bpf_sock context code generation
Currently, the ctx access code reads the rx_queue_mapping
field with either a 4-byte or 2-byte load. The rest of the bits
in the register are marked known zero by the verifier. However,
the emitted ctx access code places in the register on certain
the special value (-1) using BPF_MOV_IMM64, which gets sign-extended
to turn on all the bits in the register. By shifting this value right,
the program ends up with a value at runtime above what the verifier
assumes is possible.
Fix this by ensuring the read value is as wide as the assumed size.
Use MOV32 instructions instead of MOV64 instructions to keep
the upper bits zero as assumed by the verifier. Also properly report
the size of the destination variable (the bpf_sock field, 4 bytes) instead
of the source (the socket field, 2 bytes). |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in DNS Server allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| An integer underflow in OpenVPN version 2.7_alpha3 through 2.7.7 on Windows and Android allows remote authenticated servers to cause a denial of service or memory disclosure via crafted domain search options |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a divide-by-zero vulnerability in the freerdp-shadow-cli shadow server: the frame id in a client's Frame Acknowledge PDU is stored without a range check, so the in-flight frame count in shadow_encoder_inflight_frames() can underflow. An authenticated client can acknowledge a frame id one greater than the last frame sent, causing shadow_encoder_create_frame_id() to divide by zero (SIGFPE) and terminate the process, disconnecting all viewers. |
| The receive path of the NXP KW41Z IEEE 802.15.4 driver, kw41z_rx() in drivers/ieee802154/ieee802154_kw41z.c, computed the payload size as pkt_len = len - KW41Z_FCS_LENGTH in a uint8_t, where len is the frame length reported by the radio. The interrupt handler kw41z_isr() obtained that length from the RX_FRAME_LENGTH field of the ZLL IRQSTS register — a copy of the PHY header length byte of the frame received over the air — and only rejected the value zero. A reported length of one therefore underflowed to pkt_len == 255.
Because the packet is allocated with NET_AF_UNSPEC on a non-Ethernet L2, net_pkt_rx_alloc_with_buffer() does not clamp the request to the interface MTU; with the default fixed-size buffer pool (CONFIG_NET_BUF_FIXED_DATA_SIZE, CONFIG_NET_BUF_DATA_SIZE=128) the allocation succeeded as a chain of two fragments. The subsequent register-to-buffer copy loops write into the first fragment only, so 255 bytes were written into a 128-byte net_buf data block, overrunning it by up to 127 bytes into adjacent network-buffer-pool memory, and reading up to 128 bytes past the end of the radio's PKT_BUFFER_RX register array.
The length field originates from an unauthenticated frame transmitted by any device within 802.15.4 radio range, and is captured by the hardware at PHY-header time — before frame filtering has completed — while the handler samples it after clearing the interrupt status, so an attacker flooding frames with a length byte of one can drive the underflow. The impact is memory corruption in the shared receive buffer pool from interrupt context, most plausibly a crash or corruption of other packets' data; the overflowing bytes are radio register contents rather than attacker-authored data, which bounds the integrity impact.
The fix rejects any length below KW41Z_FCS_LENGTH and additionally verifies net_buf_tailroom() of the first fragment before the copy loops, which also covers the CONFIG_NET_L2_OPENTHREAD variant of the size computation. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Streaming Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 26.0.0.9 could allow a Reader-role attacker to obtain version information that causes an uncaught exception. |
| Driftregion iso14229 before 0.10.1 contains an integer wraparound in Handle_0x38_RequestFileTransfer that lets unauthenticated attackers bypass the file path length check. Attackers can send a short RequestFileTransfer (SID 0x38) request with filePathAndNameLength 0xFFFC-0xFFFF, causing callbacks to read past the receive buffer, crashing targets or disclosing memory. |
| ExtUtils::Typemaps::STL::Vector versions before 1.05 for Perl allocate a 32 GiB array on an empty list.
The OUTPUT typemaps call av_extend( av, len-1 ). On an empty list, this undeflows, and av_extend will allocate an array with 2^32 slots, leading to memory exhaustion. |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Microsoft Bluetooth Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over an adjacent network. |
| An issue in mp4v2 2.0.0 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via the MP4RtpAtom::ReadHntiType() in src/atom_rtp.cpp. A specially crafted MP4 file can cause an undersized rtp atom to produce a near-2^64 allocation size through an unchecked offset subtraction |
