CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ata: libata-core: Fix double free on error
If e.g. the ata_port_alloc() call in ata_host_alloc() fails, we will jump
to the err_out label, which will call devres_release_group().
devres_release_group() will trigger a call to ata_host_release().
ata_host_release() calls kfree(host), so executing the kfree(host) in
ata_host_alloc() will lead to a double free:

Ensure that we will not call kfree(host) twice, by performing the kfree()
only if the devres_open_group() call failed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5: Fix tainted pointer delete is case of flow rules creation fail
In case of flow rule creation fail in mlx5_lag_create_port_sel_table(),
instead of previously created rules, the tainted pointer is deleted
deveral times.
Fix this bug by using correct flow rules pointers.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. |
| A heap double free issue was found in Opensc before version 0.22.0 in sc_pkcs15_free_tokeninfo. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mtd: rawnand: fix double free in atmel_pmecc_create_user()
The "user" pointer was converted from being allocated with kzalloc() to
being allocated by devm_kzalloc(). Calling kfree(user) will lead to a
double free. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
EDAC/igen6: Avoid segmentation fault on module unload
The segmentation fault happens because:
During modprobe:
1. In igen6_probe(), igen6_pvt will be allocated with kzalloc()
2. In igen6_register_mci(), mci->pvt_info will point to
&igen6_pvt->imc[mc]
During rmmod:
1. In mci_release() in edac_mc.c, it will kfree(mci->pvt_info)
2. In igen6_remove(), it will kfree(igen6_pvt);
Fix this issue by setting mci->pvt_info to NULL to avoid the double
kfree. |
| In Eclipse Mosquito, versions from 2.0.0 through 2.0.18, if a Mosquitto broker is configured to create an outgoing bridge connection, and that bridge connection has an incoming topic configured that makes use of topic remapping, then if the remote connection sends a crafted PUBLISH packet to the broker a double free will occur with a subsequent crash of the broker. |
| FFmpeg n7.0 is affected by a Double Free via the rkmpp_retrieve_frame function within libavcodec/rkmppdec.c. |
| A double-free issue could have occurred in `sec_pkcs7_decoder_start_decrypt()` when handling an error path. Under specific conditions, the same symmetric key could have been freed twice, potentially leading to memory corruption. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 133, Thunderbird < 133, Firefox ESR < 128.7, and Thunderbird < 128.7. |
| A double-free was found in the way 389-ds-base handles virtual attributes context in persistent searches. An attacker could send a series of search requests, forcing the server to behave unexpectedly, and crash. |
| DCMTK through 3.6.6 does not handle memory free properly. The object in the program is free but its address is still used in other locations. Sending specific requests to the dcmqrdb program will incur a double free. An attacker can use it to launch a DoS attack. |
| Use after free in libvpx in Google Chrome prior to 137.0.7151.55 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: f_tcm: Don't free command immediately
Don't prematurely free the command. Wait for the status completion of
the sense status. It can be freed then. Otherwise we will double-free
the command. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path
If the uvc_status_init() function fails to allocate the int_urb, it will
free the dev->status pointer but doesn't reset the pointer to NULL. This
results in the kfree() call in uvc_status_cleanup() trying to
double-free the memory. Fix it by resetting the dev->status pointer to
NULL after freeing it.

| Jsonxx or Json++ is a JSON parser, writer and reader written in C++. In affected versions of jsonxx use of the Value class may lead to memory corruption via a double free or via a use after free. The value class has a default assignment operator which may be used with pointer types which may point to alterable data where the pointer itself is not updated. This issue exists on the current commit of the jsonxx project. The project itself has been archived and updates are not expected. Users are advised to find a replacement. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: uvc: fix list double add in uvcg_video_pump
A panic can occur if the endpoint becomes disabled and the
uvcg_video_pump adds the request back to the req_free list after it has
already been queued to the endpoint. The endpoint complete will add the
request back to the req_free list. Invalidate the local request handle
once it's been queued.

| A double free bug in packet_set_ring() in net/packet/af_packet.c can be exploited by a local user through crafted syscalls to escalate privileges or deny service. We recommend upgrading kernel past the effected versions or rebuilding past ec6af094ea28f0f2dda1a6a33b14cd57e36a9755 |
| A memory consumption issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Supplemental Update, tvOS 13.4.6, watchOS 6.2.6. An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. |
| Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions 2018.011.20038 and earlier, 2017.011.30079 and earlier, and 2015.006.30417 and earlier have a Double Free vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. |
| The Sante PACS Server allows a remote attacker to crash the main thread by sending a crafted HL7 message, causing a denial-of-service condition. The application would require a manual restart and no authentication is required. |
| Within tcpreplay's tcprewrite, a double free vulnerability has been identified in the dlt_linuxsll2_cleanup() function in plugins/dlt_linuxsll2/linuxsll2.c. This vulnerability is triggered when tcpedit_dlt_cleanup() indirectly invokes the cleanup routine multiple times on the same memory region. By supplying a specifically crafted pcap file to the tcprewrite binary, a local attacker can exploit this flaw to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via memory corruption. |
