CVE-2026-31435 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix read abandonment during retry Under certain circumstances, all the remaining subrequests from a read request will get abandoned during retry. The abandonment process expects the 'subreq' variable to be set to the place to start abandonment from, but it doesn't always have a useful value (it will be uninitialised on the first pass through the loop and it may point to a deleted subrequest on later passes). Fix the first jump to "abandon:" to set subreq to the start of the first subrequest expected to need retry (which, in this abandonment case, turned out unexpectedly to no longer have NEED_RETRY set). Also clear the subreq pointer after discarding superfluous retryable subrequests to cause an oops if we do try to access it.
CVE-2026-31466 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: fix folio isn't locked in softleaf_to_folio() On arm64 server, we found folio that get from migration entry isn't locked in softleaf_to_folio(). This issue triggers when mTHP splitting and zap_nonpresent_ptes() races, and the root cause is lack of memory barrier in softleaf_to_folio(). The race is as follows: CPU0 CPU1 deferred_split_scan() zap_nonpresent_ptes() lock folio split_folio() unmap_folio() change ptes to migration entries __split_folio_to_order() softleaf_to_folio() set flags(including PG_locked) for tail pages folio = pfn_folio(softleaf_to_pfn(entry)) smp_wmb() VM_WARN_ON_ONCE(!folio_test_locked(folio)) prep_compound_page() for tail pages In __split_folio_to_order(), smp_wmb() guarantees page flags of tail pages are visible before the tail page becomes non-compound. smp_wmb() should be paired with smp_rmb() in softleaf_to_folio(), which is missed. As a result, if zap_nonpresent_ptes() accesses migration entry that stores tail pfn, softleaf_to_folio() may see the updated compound_head of tail page before page->flags. This issue will trigger VM_WARN_ON_ONCE() in pfn_swap_entry_folio() because of the race between folio split and zap_nonpresent_ptes() leading to a folio incorrectly undergoing modification without a folio lock being held. This is a BUG_ON() before commit 93976a20345b ("mm: eliminate further swapops predicates"), which in merged in v6.19-rc1. To fix it, add missing smp_rmb() if the softleaf entry is migration entry in softleaf_to_folio() and softleaf_to_page(). [tujinjiang@huawei.com: update function name and comments]
CVE-2026-31443 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: Fix crash when the event log is disabled If reporting errors to the event log is not supported by the hardware, and an error that causes Function Level Reset (FLR) is received, the driver will try to restore the event log even if it was not allocated. Also, only try to free the event log if it was properly allocated.
CVE-2026-31449 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: validate p_idx bounds in ext4_ext_correct_indexes ext4_ext_correct_indexes() walks up the extent tree correcting index entries when the first extent in a leaf is modified. Before accessing path[k].p_idx->ei_block, there is no validation that p_idx falls within the valid range of index entries for that level. If the on-disk extent header contains a corrupted or crafted eh_entries value, p_idx can point past the end of the allocated buffer, causing a slab-out-of-bounds read. Fix this by validating path[k].p_idx against EXT_LAST_INDEX() at both access sites: before the while loop and inside it. Return -EFSCORRUPTED if the index pointer is out of range, consistent with how other bounds violations are handled in the ext4 extent tree code.
CVE-2026-31472 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: validate inner IPv4 header length in IPTFS payload Add validation of the inner IPv4 packet tot_len and ihl fields parsed from decrypted IPTFS payloads in __input_process_payload(). A crafted ESP packet containing an inner IPv4 header with tot_len=0 causes an infinite loop: iplen=0 leads to capturelen=min(0, remaining)=0, so the data offset never advances and the while(data < tail) loop never terminates, spinning forever in softirq context. Reject inner IPv4 packets where tot_len < ihl*4 or ihl*4 < sizeof(struct iphdr), which catches both the tot_len=0 case and malformed ihl values. The normal IP stack performs this validation in ip_rcv_core(), but IPTFS extracts and processes inner packets before they reach that layer.
CVE-2026-31471 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: only publish mode_data after clone setup iptfs_clone_state() stores x->mode_data before allocating the reorder window. If that allocation fails, the code frees the cloned state and returns -ENOMEM, leaving x->mode_data pointing at freed memory. The xfrm clone unwind later runs destroy_state() through x->mode_data, so the failed clone path tears down IPTFS state that clone_state() already freed. Keep the cloned IPTFS state private until all allocations succeed so failed clones leave x->mode_data unset. The destroy path already handles a NULL mode_data pointer.
CVE-2026-31482 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/entry: Scrub r12 register on kernel entry Before commit f33f2d4c7c80 ("s390/bp: remove TIF_ISOLATE_BP"), all entry handlers loaded r12 with the current task pointer (lg %r12,__LC_CURRENT) for use by the BPENTER/BPEXIT macros. That commit removed TIF_ISOLATE_BP, dropping both the branch prediction macros and the r12 load, but did not add r12 to the register clearing sequence. Add the missing xgr %r12,%r12 to make the register scrub consistent across all entry points.
CVE-2026-31475 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: sma1307: fix double free of devm_kzalloc() memory A previous change added NULL checks and cleanup for allocation failures in sma1307_setting_loaded(). However, the cleanup for mode_set entries is wrong. Those entries are allocated with devm_kzalloc(), so they are device-managed resources and must not be freed with kfree(). Manually freeing them in the error path can lead to a double free when devres later releases the same memory. Drop the manual kfree() loop and let devres handle the cleanup.
CVE-2026-31499 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix deadlock in l2cap_conn_del() l2cap_conn_del() calls cancel_delayed_work_sync() for both info_timer and id_addr_timer while holding conn->lock. However, the work functions l2cap_info_timeout() and l2cap_conn_update_id_addr() both acquire conn->lock, creating a potential AB-BA deadlock if the work is already executing when l2cap_conn_del() takes the lock. Move the work cancellations before acquiring conn->lock and use disable_delayed_work_sync() to additionally prevent the works from being rearmed after cancellation, consistent with the pattern used in hci_conn_del().
CVE-2026-31516 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: prevent policy_hthresh.work from racing with netns teardown A XFRM_MSG_NEWSPDINFO request can queue the per-net work item policy_hthresh.work onto the system workqueue. The queued callback, xfrm_hash_rebuild(), retrieves the enclosing struct net via container_of(). If the net namespace is torn down before that work runs, the associated struct net may already have been freed, and xfrm_hash_rebuild() may then dereference stale memory. xfrm_policy_fini() already flushes policy_hash_work during teardown, but it does not synchronize policy_hthresh.work. Synchronize policy_hthresh.work in xfrm_policy_fini() as well, so the queued work cannot outlive the net namespace teardown and access a freed struct net.
CVE-2026-31512 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Validate PDU length before reading SDU length in l2cap_ecred_data_rcv() l2cap_ecred_data_rcv() reads the SDU length field from skb->data using get_unaligned_le16() without first verifying that skb contains at least L2CAP_SDULEN_SIZE (2) bytes. When skb->len is less than 2, this reads past the valid data in the skb. The ERTM reassembly path correctly calls pskb_may_pull() before reading the SDU length (l2cap_reassemble_sdu, L2CAP_SAR_START case). Apply the same validation to the Enhanced Credit Based Flow Control data path.
CVE-2026-31473 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mc, v4l2: serialize REINIT and REQBUFS with req_queue_mutex MEDIA_REQUEST_IOC_REINIT can run concurrently with VIDIOC_REQBUFS(0) queue teardown paths. This can race request object cleanup against vb2 queue cancellation and lead to use-after-free reports. We already serialize request queueing against STREAMON/OFF with req_queue_mutex. Extend that serialization to REQBUFS, and also take the same mutex in media_request_ioctl_reinit() so REINIT is in the same exclusion domain. This keeps request cleanup and queue cancellation from running in parallel for request-capable devices.
CVE-2025-1241 4 Apple, Fortra, Linux and 1 more 6 Macos, Goanywhere Agents, Goanywhere Managed File Transfer and 3 more 2026-04-23 5.8 Medium
Encrypted values in Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT prior to version 7.10.0 and GoAnywhere Agents prior to version 2.2.0 utilize a static IV which allows admin users to brute-force decryption of data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fscache: delete fscache_cookie_lru_timer when fscache exits to avoid UAF The fscache_cookie_lru_timer is initialized when the fscache module is inserted, but is not deleted when the fscache module is removed. If timer_reduce() is called before removing the fscache module, the fscache_cookie_lru_timer will be added to the timer list of the current cpu. Afterwards, a use-after-free will be triggered in the softIRQ after removing the fscache module, as follows: ================================================================== BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: fffffbfff803c9e9 PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 21ffea067 P4D 21ffea067 PUD 21ffe6067 PMD 110a7c067 PTE 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/1 Tainted: G W 6.11.0-rc3 #855 Tainted: [W]=WARN RIP: 0010:__run_timer_base.part.0+0x254/0x8a0 Call Trace: <IRQ> tmigr_handle_remote_up+0x627/0x810 __walk_groups.isra.0+0x47/0x140 tmigr_handle_remote+0x1fa/0x2f0 handle_softirqs+0x180/0x590 irq_exit_rcu+0x84/0xb0 sysvec_apic_timer_interrupt+0x6e/0x90 </IRQ> <TASK> asm_sysvec_apic_timer_interrupt+0x1a/0x20 RIP: 0010:default_idle+0xf/0x20 default_idle_call+0x38/0x60 do_idle+0x2b5/0x300 cpu_startup_entry+0x54/0x60 start_secondary+0x20d/0x280 common_startup_64+0x13e/0x148 </TASK> Modules linked in: [last unloaded: netfs] ================================================================== Therefore delete fscache_cookie_lru_timer when removing the fscahe module.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: amd_sfh: free driver_data after destroying hid device HID driver callbacks aren't called anymore once hid_destroy_device() has been called. Hence, hid driver_data should be freed only after the hid_destroy_device() function returned as driver_data is used in several callbacks. CVE-2024-36898 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: cdev: fix uninitialised kfifo If a line is requested with debounce, and that results in debouncing in software, and the line is subsequently reconfigured to enable edge detection then the allocation of the kfifo to contain edge events is overlooked. This results in events being written to and read from an uninitialised kfifo. Read events are returned to userspace. Initialise the kfifo in the case where the software debounce is already active.
