CVSS v3.1 |
| Consul Community Edition and Consul Enterprise 1.18.21 through 2.0.2 are vulnerable to a partial arbitrary file read when configured to use the Vault Connect CA provider with JWT or AppRole authentication. A privileged attacker with `operator:write` permission may direct Consul to read and forward credential files outside the intended scope, potentially leading to the exfiltration of sensitive secrets from the Consul server host. This vulnerability, CVE-2026-19017, is fixed in Consul 2.0.3 and Consul Enterprise 1.21.17, 1.22.11, and 2.0.3. |
| The SF32LB MPI QSPI NOR flash driver (drivers/flash/flash_sf32lb_mpi_qspi_nor.c) validated the flash offset and length on its read and write paths with the test (offset + size) > data->size. Because offset is a signed off_t while size is unsigned, a negative offset is converted to a large unsigned value and the addition can wrap to a small result that passes the check. The read path then performs memcpy(dst, (void *)(data->base + offset), size) and the write path programs flash at offset and cache-invalidates data->base + offset, in both cases accessing memory outside the mapped flash window. The driver's erase path already rejected negative offsets, but read and write did not.
In builds with CONFIG_USERSPACE, flash_read and flash_write are syscalls whose verifiers validate the device object and the caller's buffer but deliberately delegate offset bounds checking to the driver. An unprivileged thread that has been granted access to this flash device can therefore call the syscall with a crafted negative offset and a buffer valid in its own memory domain, and reach the unchecked access.
The most direct impact is on the read path: by choosing a negative offset and matching size, an attacker slides the memcpy source below the flash base and copies arbitrary CPU-addressable memory into its own buffer, disclosing memory it is not authorized to read. The write path additionally allows programming flash at an out-of-range address and invalidating an attacker-chosen cache range, affecting integrity and availability. Reachability requires userspace to be enabled and the raw flash device object to be granted to an untrusted thread.
The fix replaces the check with qspi_nor_range_is_valid(), which rejects negative offsets and performs the bound comparison in overflow-safe 64-bit arithmetic on both paths, and additionally adds an SRAM DMA bounce buffer plus source/destination overlap rejection to prevent a separate DMA bus-hang condition. |

| nanoMODBUS through v1.23.0 contains an out-of-bounds stack read leading to a wild-pointer write in nmbs_read_device_identification_basic / recv_read_device_identification_res in nanomodbus.c. A fixed 3-element stack array order[3] = {0,1,2} maps object IDs to buffer indices. The server-supplied object_id field (0-255, read directly from the wire) is used without any bounds check as buf_index = order[object_id]. |
| driftregion iso14229 through 0.9.0 contains an integer underflow and downstream out-of-bounds read in the Handle_0x27_SecurityAccess function in iso14229.c that allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to crash a UDS server and potentially read memory past the receive buffer by sending a single-byte 0x27 SecurityAccess request that follows any earlier well-formed 0x27 message. |
| LiamBindle MQTT-C through version 1.1.6 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read and integer underflow in the mqtt_unpack_publish_response function in src/mqtt.c that allows a remote unauthenticated attacker controlling an MQTT broker - or able to inject MQTT traffic into an unencrypted session - to crash a subscribed MQTT-C client and potentially disclose adjacent heap memory by sending a single crafted PUBLISH packet. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netconsole: avoid OOB reads, msg is not nul-terminated
msg passed to netconsole from the console subsystem is not guaranteed
to be nul-terminated. Before recent
commit 7eab73b18630 ("netconsole: convert to NBCON console infrastructure")
the message would be placed in printk_shared_pbufs, a static global
buffer, so KASAN had harder time catching OOB accesses. Now we see:

| A vulnerability in the PDF file format parser of ClamAV could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a DoS condition or possibly other expanded impacts as a result of memory corruption on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper boundary checks for content in PDF files during scanning, which may result in an out-of-bounds buffer read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted PDF file to be scanned by ClamAV on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ClamAV scanning process to terminate, resulting in a DoS condition on the affected software. |

| Imager versions from 0.45_02 before 1.034 for Perl may expose adjacent heap bytes via strlen() over-read from zero-count ASCII EXIF entries in copy_string_tags.
copy_string_tags() computes an ASCII EXIF tag's length as `entry->size - 1` to strip the trailing NUL. A zero-count ASCII entry sets `entry->size` to 0, and the derived length reaches i_tags_add() as -1, which is interpreted as a request to call strlen(), scanning past the entry to the next NUL and copying those bytes into the tag. JPEG reaches this path via im_decode_exif(), as does the separate Imager::File::WEBP distribution, which is fixed by upgrading Imager.
Any caller of Imager->read() on an attacker-supplied image with such an entry may receive an exif_* tag holding adjacent heap bytes instead of an empty string. |

| Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability in Apache Fory C++ deserialization.
This issue affects Apache Fory C++ versions from 0.14.0 before 1.5.0 when deserializing structs containing tagged integer fields. A crafted input payload may trigger an out-of-bounds heap read in the tagged integer fast-path deserializer, potentially causing information disclosure or denial of service.
Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Fory 1.5.0, which fixes this issue. Applications that do not use Apache Fory C++ or do not use tagged integer fields are not affected. |
| node-re2 provides RE2 regular expression bindings for Node.js. Prior to version 1.26.1, passing a Buffer whose final bytes form a truncated (incomplete) multi-byte UTF-8 sequence could cause the native binding to read past the end of the allocated buffer while attempting to decode the final, incomplete code point. This could result in an out-of-bounds read and potential disclosure of adjacent memory contents. This issue is fixed in version 1.26.1. |
| Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application handles password changes using a function triggered by
including the string "(editini)" in the file path, writing the new
password to the specified "Archive.ini" file. However, the application
does not verify that the provided path actually refers to an
"Archive.ini" file. If an attacker specifies a different file with
excessive size, a buffer overflow occurs. This vulnerability allows an
unauthenticated attacker to crash the server, resulting in denial of
service. This issue affects TeamDavid through Rollout 524. |
