CVSS v3.1 |
| A potential security vulnerability has been identified in the HPAudioAnalytics service included in the HP Hotkey Support software, which might allow escalation of privilege. HP is releasing software updates to mitigate the potential vulnerability. |
| An Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ("Link Following") and Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ("Path Traversal"). This vulnerability occurs when extracting a maliciously crafted tar file, which can result in unauthorized file writes or overwrites outside the intended extraction directory. The issue is associated with index.js in the tar-fs package.
This issue affects tar-fs: from 0.0.0 before 1.16.4, from 2.0.0 before 2.1.2, from 3.0.0 before 3.0.8. |
| Gotham Gaia application was found to be exposing multiple unauthenticated endpoints. |
| A TLS certificate verification issue discovered in cortex v0.42.1 allows attackers to obtain sensitive information via the makeOperatorRequest function. |
| An Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following') vulnerability in SonicWall NetExtender Windows (32 and 64 bit) client which allows an attacker to manipulate file paths. |
| A use-after-free type vulnerability was found in libsoup, in the soup_message_headers_get_content_disposition() function. This flaw allows a malicious HTTP client to cause memory corruption in the libsoup server. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Ugreen DH2100+ up to 5.3.0. This affects an unknown function of the component USB Handler. Such manipulation leads to symlink following. The attack can be executed directly on the physical device. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component. |
| SAP MDM Server allows an attacker to gain control of existing client sessions and execute certain functions without having to re-authenticate giving the ability to access or modify non-sensitive information or consume sufficient resources which could degrade the performance of the server causing low impact on confidentiality, integrity and availibility of the application. |
| Improper link resolution before file access ('Link Following') for some Intel(R) Graphics Driver software installers may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Link Following Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in NortonUtilitiesSvc in Norton Utilities Ultimate Version 24.2.16862.6344 on Windows 10 Pro x64 allows local attackers to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM via the creation of a symbolic link and leveraging a TOCTTOU (time-of-check to time-of-use) attack. |
| Model Context Protocol Servers is a collection of reference implementations for the model context protocol (MCP). Versions of Filesystem prior to 0.6.4 or 2025.7.01 could allow access to unintended files via symlinks within allowed directories. Users are advised to upgrade to 0.6.4 or 2025.7.01 resolve. |
| A link following vulnerability exists in the UnifyScanner component of Armoury Crate. This vulnerability may be triggered by creating a specially crafted junction, potentially leading to local privilege escalation.
For more information, please refer to section 'Security Update for Armoury Crate App' in the ASUS Security Advisory. |
| A Improper Link Resolution vulnerability (CWE-59) in the SonicWall Connect Tunnel Windows (32 and 64 bit) client, this results in unauthorized file overwrite, potentially leading to denial of service or file corruption. |
| Indian Bank IndSMART Android App 3.8.1 is vulnerable to Missing SSL Certificate Validation in NuWebViewActivity. |
| JumpCloud Remote Assist for Windows versions prior to 0.317.0 include an uninstaller that is invoked by the JumpCloud Windows Agent as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM during agent uninstall or update operations. The Remote Assist uninstaller performs privileged create, write, execute, and delete actions on predictable files inside a user-writable %TEMP% subdirectory without validating that the directory is trusted or resetting its ACLs when it already exists. A local, low-privileged attacker can pre-create the directory with weak permissions and leverage mount-point or symbolic-link redirection to (a) coerce arbitrary file writes to protected locations, leading to denial of service (e.g., by overwriting sensitive system files), or (b) win a race to redirect DeleteFileW() to attacker-chosen targets, enabling arbitrary file or folder deletion and local privilege escalation to SYSTEM. This issue is fixed in JumpCloud Remote Assist 0.317.0 and affects Windows systems where Remote Assist is installed and managed through the Agent lifecycle. |
| Judge0 is an open-source online code execution system. The application uses the UNIX chown command on an untrusted file within the sandbox. An attacker can abuse this by creating a symbolic link (symlink) to a file outside the sandbox, allowing the attacker to run chown on arbitrary files outside of the sandbox. This vulnerability is not impactful on it's own, but it can be used to bypass the patch for CVE-2024-28185 and obtain a complete sandbox escape. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.13.1. |
| Improper Link Resolution Before File Access in the AWS VPN Client for macOS versions 1.3.2- 5.2.0 allows a local user to execute code with elevated privileges. Insufficient validation checks on the log destination directory during log rotation could allow a non-administrator user to create a symlink from a client log file to a privileged location. On log rotation, this could lead to code execution with root privileges if the user made crafted API calls which injected arbitrary code into the log file. We recommend users upgrade to AWS VPN Client for macOS 5.2.1 or the latest version. |
| VMware Tools contains an insecure file handling vulnerability. A malicious actor with non-administrative privileges on a guest VM may tamper the local files to trigger insecure file operations within that VM. |
| WiX toolset lets developers create installers for Windows Installer, the Windows installation engine. The custom action behind WiX's `RemoveFolderEx` functionality could allow a standard user to delete protected directories. `RemoveFolderEx` deletes an entire directory tree during installation or uninstallation. It does so by recursing every subdirectory starting at a specified directory and adding each subdirectory to the list of directories Windows Installer should delete. If the setup author instructed `RemoveFolderEx` to delete a per-user folder from a per-machine installer, an attacker could create a directory junction in that per-user folder pointing to a per-machine, protected directory. Windows Installer, when executing the per-machine installer after approval by an administrator, would delete the target of the directory junction. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.14.1 and 4.0.5. |
| A CWE-598 “Use of GET Request Method with Sensitive Query Strings” was discovered affecting the 130.8005 TCP/IP Gateway running firmware version 12h. Both the SHA-1 hash of the password as well as the session tokens are included as part of the URL and therefore exposed to information leakage scenarios. An attacker capable of accessing such values (e.g., victim browser, network traffic inspection) can exploit this vulnerability to leak both the password hash as well as session tokens and bypass the authentication mechanism using a pass-the-hash attack. |
