In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ks8851: Reinstate disabling of BHs around IRQ handler If the driver executes ks8851_irq() AND a TX packet has been sent, then the driver enables TX queue via netif_wake_queue() which schedules TX softirq to queue packets for this device. If CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT=y is set AND a packet has also been received by the MAC, then ks8851_rx_pkts() calls netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align() to allocate SKBs for the received packets. If netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align() is called with BH enabled, then local_bh_enable() at the end of netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align() will trigger the pending softirq processing, which may ultimately call the .xmit callback ks8851_start_xmit_par(). The ks8851_start_xmit_par() will try to lock struct ks8851_net_par .lock spinlock, which is already locked by ks8851_irq() from which ks8851_start_xmit_par() was called. This leads to a deadlock, which is reported by the kernel, including a trace listed below. If CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT is not set, then since commit 0913ec336a6c0 ("net: ks8851: Fix deadlock with the SPI chip variant") the deadlock can also be triggered without received packet in the RX FIFO. The pending softirqs will be processed on return from spin_unlock_bh(&ks->statelock) in ks8851_irq(), which triggers the deadlock as well. Fix the problem by disabling BH around critical sections, including the IRQ handler, thus preventing the net_tx_action() softirq from triggering during these critical sections. A flaw was found in Samba’s certificate auto-enrollment Group Policy handling. When certificate auto-enrollment is enabled, Samba may retrieve a CA certificate over an unencrypted HTTP connection and install it into the local trust store without proper verification. An attacker with the ability to intercept or redirect network traffic could exploit this behavior to supply a malicious certificate authority certificate, potentially allowing interception or spoofing of trusted communications.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: don't zero the entire extent if EXT4_EXT_DATA_PARTIAL_VALID1 When allocating initialized blocks from a large unwritten extent, or when splitting an unwritten extent during end I/O and converting it to initialized, there is currently a potential issue of stale data if the extent needs to be split in the middle. 0 A B N [UUUUUUUUUUUU] U: unwritten extent [--DDDDDDDD--] D: valid data |<- ->| ----> this range needs to be initialized ext4_split_extent() first try to split this extent at B with EXT4_EXT_DATA_ENTIRE_VALID1 and EXT4_EXT_MAY_ZEROOUT flag set, but ext4_split_extent_at() failed to split this extent due to temporary lack of space. It zeroout B to N and mark the entire extent from 0 to N as written. 0 A B N [WWWWWWWWWWWW] W: written extent [SSDDDDDDDDZZ] Z: zeroed, S: stale data ext4_split_extent() then try to split this extent at A with EXT4_EXT_DATA_VALID2 flag set. This time, it split successfully and left a stale written extent from 0 to A. 0 A B N [WW|WWWWWWWWWW] [SS|DDDDDDDDZZ] Fix this by pass EXT4_EXT_DATA_PARTIAL_VALID1 to ext4_split_extent_at() when splitting at B, don't convert the entire extent to written and left it as unwritten after zeroing out B to N. The remaining work is just like the standard two-part split. ext4_split_extent() will pass the EXT4_EXT_DATA_VALID2 flag when it calls ext4_split_extent_at() for the second time, allowing it to properly handle the split. If the split is successful, it will keep extent from 0 to A as unwritten.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: bq25980: Fix use-after-free in power_supply_changed() Using the `devm_` variant for requesting IRQ _before_ the `devm_` variant for allocating/registering the `power_supply` handle, means that the `power_supply` handle will be deallocated/unregistered _before_ the interrupt handler (since `devm_` naturally deallocates in reverse allocation order). This means that during removal, there is a race condition where an interrupt can fire just _after_ the `power_supply` handle has been freed, *but* just _before_ the corresponding unregistration of the IRQ handler has run. This will lead to the IRQ handler calling `power_supply_changed()` with a freed `power_supply` handle. Which usually crashes the system or otherwise silently corrupts the memory... Note that there is a similar situation which can also happen during `probe()`; the possibility of an interrupt firing _before_ registering the `power_supply` handle. This would then lead to the nasty situation of using the `power_supply` handle *uninitialized* in `power_supply_changed()`. Fix this racy use-after-free by making sure the IRQ is requested _after_ the registration of the `power_supply` handle.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: fix deferred split queue races during migration migrate_folio_move() records the deferred split queue state from src and replays it on dst. Replaying it after remove_migration_ptes(src, dst, 0) makes dst visible before it is requeued, so a concurrent rmap-removal path can mark dst partially mapped and trip the WARN in deferred_split_folio(). Move the requeue before remove_migration_ptes() so dst is back on the deferred split queue before it becomes visible again. Because migration still holds dst locked at that point, teach deferred_split_scan() to requeue a folio when folio_trylock() fails. Otherwise a fully mapped underused folio can be dequeued by the shrinker and silently lost from split_queue. [ziy@nvidia.com: move the comment]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nSVM: Avoid clearing VMCB_LBR in vmcb12 svm_copy_lbrs() always marks VMCB_LBR dirty in the destination VMCB. However, nested_svm_vmexit() uses it to copy LBRs to vmcb12, and clearing clean bits in vmcb12 is not architecturally defined. Move vmcb_mark_dirty() to callers and drop it for vmcb12. This also facilitates incoming refactoring that does not pass the entire VMCB to svm_copy_lbrs().

Drop the early return to ensure sysfs entries are removed and ->hwrng.priv is freed, preventing a memory leak.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mana_ib: Disable RX steering on RSS QP destroy When an RSS QP is destroyed (e.g. DPDK exit), mana_ib_destroy_qp_rss() destroys the RX WQ objects but does not disable vPort RX steering in firmware. This leaves stale steering configuration that still points to the destroyed RX objects. If traffic continues to arrive (e.g. peer VM is still transmitting) and the VF interface is subsequently brought up (mana_open), the firmware may deliver completions using stale CQ IDs from the old RX objects. These CQ IDs can be reused by the ethernet driver for new TX CQs, causing RX completions to land on TX CQs: WARNING: mana_poll_tx_cq+0x1b8/0x220 [mana] (is_sq == false) WARNING: mana_gd_process_eq_events+0x209/0x290 (cq_table lookup fails) Fix this by disabling vPort RX steering before destroying RX WQ objects. Note that mana_fence_rqs() cannot be used here because the fence completion is delivered on the CQ, which is polled by user-mode (e.g. DPDK) and not visible to the kernel driver. Refactor the disable logic into a shared mana_disable_vport_rx() in mana_en, exported for use by mana_ib, replacing the duplicate code. The ethernet driver's mana_dealloc_queues() is also updated to call this common function.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: revert commit_mutex usage in reset path It causes circular lock dependency between commit_mutex, nfnl_subsys_ipset and nlk_cb_mutex when nft reset, ipset list, and iptables-nft with '-m set' rule run at the same time. Previous patches made it safe to run individual reset handlers concurrently so commit_mutex is no longer required to prevent this.
