CVSS v3.1 |
| The Linux kernel NFSD implementation prior to versions 5.19.17 and 6.0.2 are vulnerable to buffer overflow. NFSD tracks the number of pages held by each NFSD thread by combining the receive and send buffers of a remote procedure call (RPC) into a single array of pages. A client can force the send buffer to shrink by sending an RPC message over TCP with garbage data added at the end of the message. The RPC message with garbage data is still correctly formed according to the specification and is passed forward to handlers. Vulnerable code in NFSD is not expecting the oversized request and writes beyond the allocated buffer space. CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in vmwgfx driver in drivers/gpu/vmxgfx/vmxgfx_execbuf.c in GPU component of Linux kernel with device file '/dev/dri/renderD128 (or Dxxx)'. This flaw allows a local attacker with a user account on the system to gain privilege, causing a denial of service(DoS). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sched/deadline: Fix task_struct reference leak
During the execution of the following stress test with linux-rt:
stress-ng --cyclic 30 --timeout 30 --minimize --quiet
kmemleak frequently reported a memory leak concerning the task_struct:
unreferenced object 0xffff8881305b8000 (size 16136):

The issue occurs in start_dl_timer(), which increments the task_struct
reference count and sets a timer. The timer callback, dl_task_timer,
is supposed to decrement the reference count upon expiration. However,
if enqueue_task_dl() is called before the timer expires and cancels it,
the reference count is not decremented, leading to the leak.
This patch fixes the reference leak by ensuring the task_struct
reference count is properly decremented when the timer is canceled. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mptcp: ensure snd_una is properly initialized on connect
This is strictly related to commit fb7a0d334894 ("mptcp: ensure snd_nxt
is properly initialized on connect"). It turns out that syzkaller can
trigger the retransmit after fallback and before processing any other
incoming packet - so that snd_una is still left uninitialized.
Address the issue explicitly initializing snd_una together with snd_nxt
and write_seq. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: Fix possible null pointer dereference
abo->tbo.resource may be NULL in amdgpu_vm_bo_update. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: dev: can_put_echo_skb(): don't crash kernel if can_priv::echo_skb is accessed out of bounds
If the "struct can_priv::echoo_skb" is accessed out of bounds, this
would cause a kernel crash. Instead, issue a meaningful warning
message and return with an error. |
| A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Grafana caused by combining a client path traversal and open redirect. This allows attackers to redirect users to a website that hosts a frontend plugin that will execute arbitrary JavaScript. This vulnerability does not require editor permissions and if anonymous access is enabled, the XSS will work. If the Grafana Image Renderer plugin is installed, it is possible to exploit the open redirect to achieve a full read SSRF.
The default Content-Security-Policy (CSP) in Grafana will block the XSS though the `connect-src` directive. |
| A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host. |
| A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them. |
| Multiple integer underflows in the (1) AES and (2) RC4 decryption functionality in the crypto library in MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) 1.3 through 1.6.3, and 1.7 before 1.7.1, allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code by providing ciphertext with a length that is too short to be valid. |
| The udp_sendmsg function in the UDP implementation in (1) net/ipv4/udp.c and (2) net/ipv6/udp.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.19 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) via vectors involving the MSG_MORE flag and a UDP socket. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in the reply_netbios_packet function in nmbd/nmbd_packets.c in nmbd in Samba 3.0.0 through 3.0.26a, when operating as a WINS server, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted WINS Name Registration requests followed by a WINS Name Query request. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in the (1) extract and (2) extractall functions in the tarfile module in Python allows user-assisted remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) sequence in filenames in a TAR archive, a related issue to CVE-2001-1267. |
| The audit_syscall_entry function in the Linux kernel 2.6.28.7 and earlier on the x86_64 platform does not properly handle (1) a 32-bit process making a 64-bit syscall or (2) a 64-bit process making a 32-bit syscall, which allows local users to bypass certain syscall audit configurations via crafted syscalls, a related issue to CVE-2009-0342 and CVE-2009-0343. |
| Multiple unspecified vulnerabilities in Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.10 and SeaMonkey before 1.1.7 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via unknown vectors that trigger memory corruption. |
| ssh in OpenSSH before 4.7 does not properly handle when an untrusted cookie cannot be created and uses a trusted X11 cookie instead, which allows attackers to violate intended policy and gain privileges by causing an X client to be treated as trusted. |
| The ipv6_hop_jumbo function in net/ipv6/exthdrs.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.22 does not properly validate the hop-by-hop IPv6 extended header, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and kernel panic) via a crafted IPv6 packet. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in a regular-expression parser in Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) before 3.12.3, as used in Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Evolution, Pidgin, and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), allows remote SSL servers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a long domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) field of an X.509 certificate, related to the cert_TestHostName function. |
| Buffer overflow in the __snprint_value function in snmp_get in Net-SNMP 5.1.4, 5.2.4, and 5.4.1, as used in SNMP.xs for Perl, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a large OCTETSTRING in an attribute value pair (AVP). |
| The personality subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.31-rc3 has a PER_CLEAR_ON_SETID setting that does not clear the ADDR_COMPAT_LAYOUT and MMAP_PAGE_ZERO flags when executing a setuid or setgid program, which makes it easier for local users to leverage the details of memory usage to (1) conduct NULL pointer dereference attacks, (2) bypass the mmap_min_addr protection mechanism, or (3) defeat address space layout randomization (ASLR). |
