CVE-2018-19824 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2024-11-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel through 4.19.6, a local user could exploit a use-after-free in the ALSA driver by supplying a malicious USB Sound device (with zero interfaces) that is mishandled in usb_audio_probe in sound/usb/card.c.
CVE-2018-19486 4 Canonical, Git-scm, Linux and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Git, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Git before 2.19.2 on Linux and UNIX executes commands from the current working directory (as if '.' were at the end of $PATH) in certain cases involving the run_command() API and run-command.c, because there was a dangerous change from execvp to execv during 2017.
CVE-2018-18690 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 2 more 2024-11-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel before 4.17, a local attacker able to set attributes on an xfs filesystem could make this filesystem non-operational until the next mount by triggering an unchecked error condition during an xfs attribute change, because xfs_attr_shortform_addname in fs/xfs/libxfs/xfs_attr.c mishandles ATTR_REPLACE operations with conversion of an attr from short to long form.
CVE-2018-18585 6 Canonical, Debian, Kyzer and 3 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libmspack and 6 more 2024-11-21 4.3 Medium
chmd_read_headers in mspack/chmd.c in libmspack before 0.8alpha accepts a filename that has '\0' as its first or second character (such as the "/\0" name).
CVE-2018-18584 7 Cabextract Project, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 7 Cabextract, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
In mspack/cab.h in libmspack before 0.8alpha and cabextract before 1.8, the CAB block input buffer is one byte too small for the maximal Quantum block, leading to an out-of-bounds write.
CVE-2018-18559 2 Linux, Redhat 16 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 13 more 2024-11-21 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel through 4.19, a use-after-free can occur due to a race condition between fanout_add from setsockopt and bind on an AF_PACKET socket. This issue exists because of the 15fe076edea787807a7cdc168df832544b58eba6 incomplete fix for a race condition. The code mishandles a certain multithreaded case involving a packet_do_bind unregister action followed by a packet_notifier register action. Later, packet_release operates on only one of the two applicable linked lists. The attacker can achieve Program Counter control.
CVE-2018-18445 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 10 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel 4.14.x, 4.15.x, 4.16.x, 4.17.x, and 4.18.x before 4.18.13, faulty computation of numeric bounds in the BPF verifier permits out-of-bounds memory accesses because adjust_scalar_min_max_vals in kernel/bpf/verifier.c mishandles 32-bit right shifts.
CVE-2018-18397 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 12 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 9 more 2024-11-21 N/A
The userfaultfd implementation in the Linux kernel before 4.19.7 mishandles access control for certain UFFDIO_ ioctl calls, as demonstrated by allowing local users to write data into holes in a tmpfs file (if the user has read-only access to that file, and that file contains holes), related to fs/userfaultfd.c and mm/userfaultfd.c.
CVE-2018-18386 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 N/A
drivers/tty/n_tty.c in the Linux kernel before 4.14.11 allows local attackers (who are able to access pseudo terminals) to hang/block further usage of any pseudo terminal devices due to an EXTPROC versus ICANON confusion in TIOCINQ.
CVE-2018-18359 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Incorrect handling of Reflect.construct in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-18347 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Incorrect handling of failed navigations with invalid URLs in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to trick a user into executing javascript in an arbitrary origin via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-18346 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Incorrect handling of alert box display in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to present confusing browser UI via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-18343 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Incorrect handing of paths leading to a use after free in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-18341 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
An integer overflow leading to a heap buffer overflow in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-18340 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Incorrect object lifecycle in MediaRecorder in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.

CVE-2018-18281 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 7 more 2024-11-21 N/A
Since Linux kernel version 3.2, the mremap() syscall performs TLB flushes after dropping pagetable locks. If a syscall such as ftruncate() removes entries from the pagetables of a task that is in the middle of mremap(), a stale TLB entry can remain for a short time that permits access to a physical page after it has been released back to the page allocator and reused. This is fixed in the following kernel versions: 4.9.135, 4.14.78, 4.18.16, 4.19.
