CVSS v3.1 |
| Unspecified vulnerability in IBM Java 8 before SR1, 7 R1 before SR2 FP11, 7 before SR9, 6 R1 before SR8 FP4, 6 before SR16 FP4, and 5.0 before SR16 FP10 allows remote attackers to gain privileges via unknown vectors related to the Java Virtual Machine. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: algif_aead - Revert to operating out-of-place
This mostly reverts commit 72548b093ee3 except for the copying of
the associated data.
There is no benefit in operating in-place in algif_aead since the
source and destination come from different mappings. Get rid of
all the complexity added for in-place operation and just copy the
AD directly. |
| `PluginScript` attempts to `chroot` the plugin to the `repoManagerRoot`, this root is frequently `/` (the system root) in standard configurations or when using `--root`. If the chroot target is `/`, it is a no-op, allowing the traversed path to execute host binaries (like `/bin/bash`) with root privileges. |
| csync2 uses insecure temporary directories when compiled with C99 or later, allowing for TOCTOU style attacks on the temporary directories. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in [Rancher's Extensions](https://ranchermanager.docs.rancher.com/integrations-in-rancher/rancher-extensions) where malicious code can be injected in Rancher through a path traversal in the `compressedEndpoint` field inside a `UIPlugin` deployment. A malicious UI extension could abuse that to: * Overwrite Rancher binaries or configuration to inject code.
* Write to /var/lib/rancher/ to tamper with cluster state.
* If hostPath volumes are mounted, write to the host node filesystem.
* Use this issue to chain with other attack vectors. |
| Fleet's Helm deployer did not fully apply ServiceAccount impersonation in two code paths, allowing a tenant with git push access to a Fleet-monitored repository to read secrets from any namespace on every downstream cluster targeted by their `GitRepo`. |
| The Linux kernel before 2.6.18.8-0.8 in SUSE openSUSE 10.2 does not properly handle failure of an AppArmor change_hat system call, which might allow attackers to trigger the unconfining of an apparmored task. |
| acroread in Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on temporary files related to SSL certificate handling. |
| The inode double locking code in fs/ocfs2/file.c in the Linux kernel 2.6.30 before 2.6.30-rc3, 2.6.27 before 2.6.27.24, 2.6.29 before 2.6.29.4, and possibly other versions down to 2.6.19 allows local users to cause a denial of service (prevention of file creation and removal) via a series of splice system calls that trigger a deadlock between the generic_file_splice_write, splice_from_pipe, and ocfs2_file_splice_write functions. |
| The poll_mode_io file for the megaraid_sas driver in the Linux kernel 2.6.31.6 and earlier has world-writable permissions, which allows local users to change the I/O mode of the driver by modifying this file. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in the zseticcspace function in zicc.c in Ghostscript 8.61 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a postscript (.ps) file containing a long Range array in a .seticcspace operator. |
| fs/direct-io.c in the dio subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.23 does not properly zero out the dio struct, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (OOPS), as demonstrated by a certain fio test. |
| The Kerberos 4 support in KDC in MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5kdc) does not properly clear the unused portion of a buffer when generating an error message, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, aka "Uninitialized stack values." |
| The expat XML parser in the apr_xml_* interface in xml/apr_xml.c in Apache APR-util before 1.3.7, as used in the mod_dav and mod_dav_svn modules in the Apache HTTP Server, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted XML document containing a large number of nested entity references, as demonstrated by a PROPFIND request, a similar issue to CVE-2003-1564. |
| The do_coredump function in fs/exec.c in Linux kernel 2.4.x and 2.6.x up to 2.6.24-rc3, and possibly other versions, does not change the UID of a core dump file if it exists before a root process creates a core dump in the same location, which might allow local users to obtain sensitive information. |
| The XInput extension in X.Org Xserver before 1.4.1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via requests related to byte swapping and heap corruption within multiple functions, a different vulnerability than CVE-2007-4990. |
| Untrusted search path vulnerability in yast2-core in SUSE Linux might allow local users to execute arbitrary code by creating a malicious yast2 module in the current working directory. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in slp.c in the MSN protocol plugin in libpurple in Pidgin 2.6.4 and Adium 1.3.8 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in an application/x-msnmsgrp2p MSN emoticon (aka custom smiley) request, a related issue to CVE-2004-0122. NOTE: it could be argued that this is resultant from a vulnerability in which an emoticon download request is processed even without a preceding text/x-mms-emoticon message that announced availability of the emoticon. |
| net/unix/af_unix.c in the Linux kernel 2.6.31.4 and earlier allows local users to cause a denial of service (system hang) by creating an abstract-namespace AF_UNIX listening socket, performing a shutdown operation on this socket, and then performing a series of connect operations to this socket. |
| The ATI Rage 128 (aka r128) driver in the Linux kernel before 2.6.31-git11 does not properly verify Concurrent Command Engine (CCE) state initialization, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) or possibly gain privileges via unspecified ioctl calls. |
