CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability in the logging configuration of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) policies for Cisco FirePOWER System Software 5.3.0 through 6.2.2 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition due to high consumption of system resources. The vulnerability is due to the logging of certain TCP packets by the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a flood of crafted TCP packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a DoS condition. The success of an exploit is dependent on how an administrator has configured logging for SSL policies for a device. This vulnerability affects Cisco FirePOWER System Software that is configured to log connections by using SSL policy default actions. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd07072. |
| Proxygen lacked a generalized slow-consumer detection mechanism in its core HTTP session layer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit HTTP/2 flow-control by setting SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE to 0 or withholding WINDOW_UPDATE frames, causing the server to buffer complete response bodies in memory indefinitely for stalled streams. By opening many simultaneous streams requesting large resources while preventing the server from transmitting responses, an attacker could induce unbounded memory growth leading to service degradation, resource exhaustion, or denial of service. Versions v2017.01.16.00 through v2026.07.20.00 are affected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rust_binder: use a u64 stride when cleaning up the offsets array
Allocation's Drop walks the offsets array (binder_size_t = u64 entries),
cleaning up the objects, but it used usize instead of u64 for both the
stride and the per-entry read.
On 64-bit kernels (usize == u64) this is harmless, but on 32-bit kernels
it walks the 8-byte entries in 4-byte steps, iterating an N-entry array
2N times, and reads the always-zero high word as offset 0, cleaning up
the object at offset 0 N extra times. As a result the referenced node or
handle ends up with a lower reference count than it actually has (a
refcount over-decrement), and binder's reference accounting is corrupted;
for example, the owner can be notified of a strong reference release
(BR_RELEASE) even though references still remain.
Change the stride to u64, and read each entry as a u64, narrowing it to
usize with try_into().
On 32-bit ARM, when this over-decrement would drive a count below zero,
the driver's existing refcount guard refuses it and fires:
rust_binder: Failure: refcount underflow! |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: accel: kxsd9: fix runtime PM imbalance on write_raw() error
kxsd9_write_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
but returns -EINVAL directly when a scale with a non-zero integer part is
requested, skipping the matching pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This leaks
a runtime PM usage-counter reference on every such write, after which the
device can no longer autosuspend.
Set the error code and fall through to the existing put instead of
returning early. |
| When an affected product receives a valid CIP message from an unauthorized or unintended source to Port 2222/TCP, Port 2222/UDP, Port 44818/TCP, or Port 44818/UDP that instructs the CPU to stop logic execution and enter a fault state, a DoS can occur. This situation could cause loss of availability and a disruption of communication with other connected devices.

| In updateState of GraphicsDriverEnableAngleAsSystemDriverController.java, there is a possible persistent dos issue due to an unusual root cause. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 19.0.0.7 through 26.0.0.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, and 8.5 and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources. |
| The kex_input_kexinit function in kex.c in OpenSSH 6.x and 7.x through 7.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending many duplicate KEXINIT requests. NOTE: a third party reports that "OpenSSH upstream does not consider this as a security issue." |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Peer Objects component (aka iepeers.dll) in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 6 SP1, and 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving access to an invalid pointer after the deletion of an object, as exploited in the wild in March 2010, aka "Uninitialized Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler
tcm_loop_target_reset() violates the SCSI EH contract: it returns SUCCESS
without draining any in-flight commands. The SCSI EH documentation
(scsi_eh.rst) requires that when a reset handler returns SUCCESS the driver
has made lower layers "forget about timed out scmds" and is ready for new
commands. Every other SCSI LLD (virtio_scsi, mpt3sas, ipr, scsi_debug,
mpi3mr) enforces this by draining or completing outstanding commands before
returning SUCCESS.
Because tcm_loop_target_reset() doesn't drain, the SCSI EH reuses in-flight
scsi_cmnd structures for recovery commands (e.g. TUR) while the target core
still has async completion work queued for the old se_cmd. The memset in
queuecommand zeroes se_lun and lun_ref_active, causing
transport_lun_remove_cmd() to skip its percpu_ref_put(). The leaked LUN
reference prevents transport_clear_lun_ref() from completing, hanging
configfs LUN unlink forever in D-state:
INFO: task rm:264 blocked for more than 122 seconds.
rm D 0 264 258 0x00004000

Fix this by making tcm_loop_target_reset() actually drain commands:
1. Issue TMR_LUN_RESET via tcm_loop_issue_tmr() to drain all commands that
the target core knows about (those not yet CMD_T_COMPLETE).
2. Use blk_mq_tagset_busy_iter() to iterate all started requests and
flush_work() on each se_cmd — this drains any deferred completion work
for commands that already had CMD_T_COMPLETE set before the TMR (which
the TMR skips via __target_check_io_state()). This is the same pattern
used by mpi3mr, scsi_debug, and libsas to drain outstanding commands
during reset. |
| Windows Media Player 10.00.00.4036 in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a .MID (MIDI) file with a malformed header chunk without any track chunks, possibly involving (1) number of tracks of (2) time division fields that are set to 0. |
| The crypto pseudo device driver in Sun Solaris 10, and OpenSolaris snv_88 through snv_102, does not properly free memory, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) via unspecified vectors, related to the vmem_hash_delete function. |
| Microsoft Office Word 2000 SP3, 2002 SP3, 2003 SP3, and 2007 Gold and SP1; Word Viewer 2003 Gold and SP3; Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats Gold and SP1; Office 2004 and 2008 for Mac; and Open XML File Format Converter for Mac allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Word document that contains a malformed value, which triggers memory corruption, aka "Word Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| Double free vulnerability in the NFS component in Apple Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.4.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted AUTH_UNIX RPC packet. |
| Linux kernel 2.6.18, and possibly other versions, when running on AMD64 architectures, allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash) via certain ptrace calls. |
| 3Com TippingPoint IPS allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device hang) via a flood of packets on TCP port 80 with sequentially increasing source ports, related to a "badly written loop." NOTE: the vendor disputes this issue, stating that the product has "performed as expected with no DoS emerging. |
| Double free vulnerability in Microsoft Office Word 2000 SP3, 2002 SP3, 2003 SP3, and 2007 Gold and SP1; Outlook 2007 Gold and SP1; Word Viewer 2003 Gold and SP3; Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats Gold and SP1; and Office 2004 for Mac allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted (1) RTF file or (2) rich text e-mail message with multiple consecutive Drawing Object ("\do") tags, which triggers a "memory calculation error" and memory corruption, aka "Word RTF Object Parsing Vulnerability." |
| VideoConference in Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5 through 10.5.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or execute arbitrary code via vectors involving H.264 encoded media. |
| Stack consumption vulnerability in u_bound.c in Xfig 3.2.5b and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a long string in a malformed .fig file that uses the 1.3 file format, possibly related to the readfp_fig function in f_read.c. |
| Apple QuickTime before 7.5.5 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted PICT image, related to an "invalid pointer issue." |
