CVE-2022-49752 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: device property: fix of node refcount leak in fwnode_graph_get_next_endpoint() The 'parent' returned by fwnode_graph_get_port_parent() with refcount incremented when 'prev' is not NULL, it needs be put when finish using it. Because the parent is const, introduce a new variable to store the returned fwnode, then put it before returning from fwnode_graph_get_next_endpoint().

CVE-2022-49733 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix race at SNDCTL_DSP_SYNC There is a small race window at snd_pcm_oss_sync() that is called from OSS PCM SNDCTL_DSP_SYNC ioctl; namely the function calls snd_pcm_oss_make_ready() at first, then takes the params_lock mutex for the rest. When the stream is set up again by another thread between them, it leads to inconsistency, and may result in unexpected results such as NULL dereference of OSS buffer as a fuzzer spotted recently. The fix is simply to cover snd_pcm_oss_make_ready() call into the same params_lock mutex with snd_pcm_oss_make_ready_locked() variant.
CVE-2022-49731 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo() In an unlikely (and probably wrong?) case that the 'ppi' parameter of ata_host_alloc_pinfo() points to an array starting with a NULL pointer, there's going to be a kernel oops as the 'pi' local variable won't get reassigned from the initial value of NULL. Initialize 'pi' instead to '&ata_dummy_port_info' to fix the possible kernel oops for good... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the SVACE static analysis tool.
CVE-2022-49729 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nfcmrvl: Fix memory leak in nfcmrvl_play_deferred Similar to the handling of play_deferred in commit 19cfe912c37b ("Bluetooth: btusb: Fix memory leak in play_deferred"), we thought a patch might be needed here as well. Currently usb_submit_urb is called directly to submit deferred tx urbs after unanchor them. So the usb_giveback_urb_bh would failed to unref it in usb_unanchor_urb and cause memory leak. Put those urbs in tx_anchor to avoid the leak, and also fix the error handling.
CVE-2022-49727 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: Fix signed integer overflow in l2tp_ip6_sendmsg When len >= INT_MAX - transhdrlen, ulen = len + transhdrlen will be overflow. To fix, we can follow what udpv6 does and subtract the transhdrlen from the max.

CVE-2022-49707 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add reserved GDT blocks check We capture a NULL pointer issue when resizing a corrupt ext4 image which is freshly clear resize_inode feature (not run e2fsck). It could be simply reproduced by following steps. The problem is because of the resize_inode feature was cleared, and it will convert the filesystem to meta_bg mode in ext4_resize_fs(), but the es->s_reserved_gdt_blocks was not reduced to zero, so could we mistakenly call reserve_backup_gdb() and passing an uninitialized resize_inode to it when adding new group descriptors. mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda 3G tune2fs -O ^resize_inode /dev/sda #forget to run requested e2fsck mount /dev/sda /mnt resize2fs /dev/sda 8G ======== BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000028 CPU: 19 PID: 3243 Comm: resize2fs Not tainted 5.18.0-rc7-00001-gfde086c5ebfd #748 ... CVE-2022-49703 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ibmvfc: Store vhost pointer during subcrq allocation Currently the back pointer from a queue to the vhost adapter isn't set until after subcrq interrupt registration. The value is available when a queue is first allocated and can/should be also set for primary and async queues as well as subcrqs. This fixes a crash observed during kexec/kdump on Power 9 with legacy XICS interrupt controller where a pending subcrq interrupt from the previous kernel can be replayed immediately upon IRQ registration resulting in dereference of a garbage backpointer in ibmvfc_interrupt_scsi().
