CVE-2022-50839 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: fix potential buffer head reference count leak As in 'jbd2_fc_wait_bufs' if buffer isn't uptodate, will return -EIO without update 'journal->j_fc_off'. But 'jbd2_fc_release_bufs' will release buffer head from ‘j_fc_off - 1’ if 'bh' is NULL will terminal release which will lead to buffer head buffer head reference count leak. To solve above issue, update 'journal->j_fc_off' before return -EIO.
CVE-2025-71067 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: set dummy blocksize to read boot_block when mounting When mounting, sb->s_blocksize is used to read the boot_block without being defined or validated. Set a dummy blocksize before attempting to read the boot_block. The issue can be triggered with the following syz reproducer: mkdirat(0xffffffffffffff9c, &(0x7f0000000080)='./file1\x00', 0x0) r4 = openat$nullb(0xffffffffffffff9c, &(0x7f0000000040), 0x121403, 0x0) ioctl$FS_IOC_SETFLAGS(r4, 0x40081271, &(0x7f0000000980)=0x4000) mount(&(0x7f0000000140)=@nullb, &(0x7f0000000040)='./cgroup\x00', &(0x7f0000000000)='ntfs3\x00', 0x2208004, 0x0) syz_clone(0x88200200, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0) Here, the ioctl sets the bdev block size to 16384. During mount, get_tree_bdev_flags() calls sb_set_blocksize(sb, block_size(bdev)), but since block_size(bdev) > PAGE_SIZE, sb_set_blocksize() leaves sb->s_blocksize at zero. Later, ntfs_init_from_boot() attempts to read the boot_block while sb->s_blocksize is still zero, which triggers the bug. CVE-2022-50560 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/meson: explicitly remove aggregate driver at module unload time Because component_master_del wasn't being called when unloading the meson_drm module, the aggregate device would linger forever in the global aggregate_devices list. That means when unloading and reloading the meson_dw_hdmi module, component_add would call into try_to_bring_up_aggregate_device and find the unbound meson_drm aggregate device. This would in turn dereference some of the aggregate_device's struct entries which point to memory automatically freed by the devres API when unbinding the aggregate device from meson_drv_unbind, and trigger an use-after-free bug: [ +0.000014] ============================================================= [ +0.000007] BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in find_components+0x468/0x500 [ +0.000017] Read of size 8 at addr ffff000006731688 by task modprobe/2536 [ +0.000018] CPU: 4 PID: 2536 Comm: modprobe Tainted: G C O 5.19.0-rc6-lrmbkasan+ #1 [ +0.000010] Hardware name: Hardkernel ODROID-N2Plus (DT) [ +0.000008] Call trace: [ +0.000005] dump_backtrace+0x1ec/0x280 [ +0.000011] show_stack+0x24/0x80 [ +0.000007] dump_stack_lvl+0x98/0xd4 [ +0.000010] print_address_description.constprop.0+0x80/0x520 [ +0.000011] print_report+0x128/0x260 [ +0.000007] kasan_report+0xb8/0xfc [ +0.000007] __asan_report_load8_noabort+0x3c/0x50 [ +0.000009] find_components+0x468/0x500 [ +0.000008] try_to_bring_up_aggregate_device+0x64/0x390 [ +0.000009] __component_add+0x1dc/0x49c [ +0.000009] component_add+0x20/0x30 [ +0.000008] meson_dw_hdmi_probe+0x28/0x34 [meson_dw_hdmi] [ +0.000013] platform_probe+0xd0/0x220 [ +0.000008] really_probe+0x3ac/0xa80 [ +0.000008] __driver_probe_device+0x1f8/0x400 [ +0.000008] driver_probe_device+0x68/0x1b0 [ +0.000008] __driver_attach+0x20c/0x480 [ +0.000009] bus_for_each_dev+0x114/0x1b0 [ +0.000007] driver_attach+0x48/0x64 [ +0.000009] bus_add_driver+0x390/0x564 [ +0.000007] driver_register+0x1a8/0x3e4 [ +0.000009] __platform_driver_register+0x6c/0x94 [ +0.000007] meson_dw_hdmi_platform_driver_init+0x30/0x1000 [meson_dw_hdmi] [ +0.000014] do_one_initcall+0xc4/0x2b0 [ +0.000008] do_init_module+0x154/0x570 [ +0.000010] load_module+0x1a78/0x1ea4 [ +0.000008] __do_sys_init_module+0x184/0x1cc [ +0.000008] __arm64_sys_init_module+0x78/0xb0 [ +0.000008] invoke_syscall+0x74/0x260 [ +0.000008] el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xcc/0x260 [ +0.000009] do_el0_svc+0x50/0x70 [ +0.000008] el0_svc+0x68/0x1a0 [ +0.000009] el0t_64_sync_handler+0x11c/0x150 [ +0.000009] el0t_64_sync+0x18c/0x190 [ +0.000014] Allocated by task 902: [ +0.000007] kasan_save_stack+0x2c/0x5c [ +0.000009] __kasan_kmalloc+0x90/0xd0 [ +0.000007] __kmalloc_node+0x240/0x580 [ +0.000010] memcg_alloc_slab_cgroups+0xa4/0x1ac [ +0.000010] memcg_slab_post_alloc_hook+0xbc/0x4c0 [ +0.000008] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x1d0/0x490 [ +0.000009] __alloc_skb+0x1d4/0x310 [ +0.000010] alloc_skb_with_frags+0x8c/0x620 [ +0.000008] sock_alloc_send_pskb+0x5ac/0x6d0 [ +0.000010] unix_dgram_sendmsg+0x2e0/0x12f0 [ +0.000010] sock_sendmsg+0xcc/0x110 [ +0.000007] sock_write_iter+0x1d0/0x304 [ +0.000008] new_sync_write+0x364/0x460 [ +0.000007] vfs_write+0x420/0x5ac [ +0.000008] ksys_write+0x19c/0x1f0 [ +0.000008] __arm64_sys_write+0x78/0xb0 [ +0.000007] invoke_syscall+0x74/0x260 [ +0.000008] el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0x1a8/0x260 [ +0.000009] do_el0_svc+0x50/0x70 [ +0.000007] el0_svc+0x68/0x1a0 [ +0.000008] el0t_64_sync_handler+0x11c/0x150 [ +0.000008] el0t_64_sync+0x18c/0x190 [ +0.000013] Freed by task 2509: [ +0.000008] kasan_save_stack+0x2c/0x5c [ +0.000007] kasan_set_track+0x2c/0x40 [ +0.000008] kasan_set_free_info+0x28/0x50 [ +0.000008] ____kasan_slab_free+0x128/0x1d4 [ +0.000008] __kasan_slab_free+0x18/0x24 [ +0.000007] slab_free_freelist_hook+0x108/0x230 [ +0.000010] ---truncated---
CVE-2023-54102 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Prevent lpfc_debugfs_lockstat_write() buffer overflow A static code analysis tool flagged the possibility of buffer overflow when using copy_from_user() for a debugfs entry. Currently, it is possible that copy_from_user() copies more bytes than what would fit in the mybuf char array. Add a min() restriction check between sizeof(mybuf) - 1 and nbytes passed from the userspace buffer to protect against buffer overflow.
CVE-2025-40136 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: hisilicon/qm - request reserved interrupt for virtual function The device interrupt vector 3 is an error interrupt for physical function and a reserved interrupt for virtual function. However, the driver has not registered the reserved interrupt for virtual function. When allocating interrupts, the number of interrupts is allocated based on powers of two, which includes this interrupt. When the system enables GICv4 and the virtual function passthrough to the virtual machine, releasing the interrupt in the driver triggers a warning. The WARNING report is: WARNING: CPU: 62 PID: 14889 at arch/arm64/kvm/vgic/vgic-its.c:852 its_free_ite+0x94/0xb4 Therefore, register a reserved interrupt for VF and set the IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag to avoid that warning.
CVE-2025-68734 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: isdn: mISDN: hfcsusb: fix memory leak in hfcsusb_probe() In hfcsusb_probe(), the memory allocated for ctrl_urb gets leaked when setup_instance() fails with an error code. Fix that by freeing the urb before freeing the hw structure. Also change the error paths to use the goto ladder style. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool.
CVE-2023-54225 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipa: only reset hashed tables when supported Last year, the code that manages GSI channel transactions switched from using spinlock-protected linked lists to using indexes into the ring buffer used for a channel. Recently, Google reported seeing transaction reference count underflows occasionally during shutdown. Doug Anderson found a way to reproduce the issue reliably, and bisected the issue to the commit that eliminated the linked lists and the lock. The root cause was ultimately determined to be related to unused transactions being committed as part of the modem shutdown cleanup activity. Unused transactions are not normally expected (except in error cases). The modem uses some ranges of IPA-resident memory, and whenever it shuts down we zero those ranges. In ipa_filter_reset_table() a transaction is allocated to zero modem filter table entries. If hashing is not supported, hashed table memory should not be zeroed. But currently nothing prevents that, and the result is an unused transaction. Something similar occurs when we zero routing table entries for the modem. By preventing any attempt to clear hashed tables when hashing is not supported, the reference count underflow is avoided in this case. Note that there likely remains an issue with properly freeing unused transactions (if they occur due to errors). This patch addresses only the underflows that Google originally reported.
CVE-2025-68733 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels If an unprivileged task is allowed to relabel itself (/smack/relabel-self is not empty), it can freely create new labels by writing their names into own /proc/PID/attr/smack/current This occurs because do_setattr() imports the provided label in advance, before checking "relabel-self" list. This change ensures that the "relabel-self" list is checked before importing the label.
CVE-2023-53746 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: fix memory leak in vfio_ap device driver The device release callback function invoked to release the matrix device uses the dev_get_drvdata(device *dev) function to retrieve the pointer to the vfio_matrix_dev object in order to free its storage. The problem is, this object is not stored as drvdata with the device; since the kfree function will accept a NULL pointer, the memory for the vfio_matrix_dev object is never freed. Since the device being released is contained within the vfio_matrix_dev object, the container_of macro will be used to retrieve its pointer.

CVE-2025-71069 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: invalidate dentry cache on failed whiteout creation F2FS can mount filesystems with corrupted directory depth values that get runtime-clamped to MAX_DIR_HASH_DEPTH. When RENAME_WHITEOUT operations are performed on such directories, f2fs_rename performs directory modifications (updating target entry and deleting source entry) before attempting to add the whiteout entry via f2fs_add_link. If f2fs_add_link fails due to the corrupted directory structure, the function returns an error to VFS, but the partial directory modifications have already been committed to disk. VFS assumes the entire rename operation failed and does not update the dentry cache, leaving stale mappings. In the error path, VFS does not call d_move() to update the dentry cache. This results in new_dentry still pointing to the old inode (new_inode) which has already had its i_nlink decremented to zero. The stale cache causes subsequent operations to incorrectly reference the freed inode. This causes subsequent operations to use cached dentry information that no longer matches the on-disk state. When a second rename targets the same entry, VFS attempts to decrement i_nlink on the stale inode, which may already have i_nlink=0, triggering a WARNING in drop_nlink(). Example sequence: 1. First rename (RENAME_WHITEOUT): file2 → file1 - f2fs updates file1 entry on disk (points to inode 8) - f2fs deletes file2 entry on disk - f2fs_add_link(whiteout) fails (corrupted directory) - Returns error to VFS - VFS does not call d_move() due to error - VFS cache still has: file1 → inode 7 (stale!) - inode 7 has i_nlink=0 (already decremented) 2. Second rename: file3 → file1 - VFS uses stale cache: file1 → inode 7 - Tries to drop_nlink on inode 7 (i_nlink already 0) - WARNING in drop_nlink() Fix this by explicitly invalidating old_dentry and new_dentry when f2fs_add_link fails during whiteout creation. This forces VFS to refresh from disk on subsequent operations, ensuring cache consistency even when the rename partially succeeds. Reproducer: 1. This can be fixed by adding a simple check of the endpoints.
CVE-2025-68345 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: cs35l41: Fix NULL pointer dereference in cs35l41_hda_read_acpi() The acpi_get_first_physical_node() function can return NULL, in which case the get_device() function also returns NULL, but this value is then dereferenced without checking,so add a check to prevent a crash. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
CVE-2025-68346 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: dice: fix buffer overflow in detect_stream_formats() The function detect_stream_formats() reads the stream_count value directly from a FireWire device without validating it. This can lead to out-of-bounds writes when a malicious device provides a stream_count value greater than MAX_STREAMS. Fix by applying the same validation to both TX and RX stream counts in detect_stream_formats().
CVE-2023-54217 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "drm/msm: Add missing check and destroy for alloc_ordered_workqueue" This reverts commit 643b7d0869cc7f1f7a5ac7ca6bd25d88f54e31d0. A recent patch that tried to fix up the msm_drm_init() paths with respect to the workqueue but only ended up making things worse: First, the newly added calls to msm_drm_uninit() on early errors would trigger NULL-pointer dereferences, for example, as the kms pointer would not have been initialised. (Note that these paths were also modified by a second broken error handling patch which in effect cancelled out this part when merged.) Second, the newly added allocation sanity check would still leak the previously allocated drm device. Instead of trying to salvage what was badly broken (and clearly not tested), let's revert the bad commit so that clean and backportable fixes can be added in its place.
