| Scylladb is a NoSQL data store using the seastar framework, compatible with Apache Cassandra. A REST interface in Apache StreamPipes (versions 0.69.0 to 0.91.0) was not properly restricted to admin-only access. This allowed a non-admin user with valid login credentials to elevate privileges beyond the initially assigned roles.

WORKAROUND
The vulnerability requires nodetool/JMX access to be exploitable, disable access for any non-trusted users.
MITIGATION
Upgrade to 4.0.10 or 4.1.2 and leave the new FQL/Auditlog configuration property allow_nodetool_archive_command as false. |
