Multiple XSS (CWE-79)
Tiki Wiki CMS – CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in BEO GmbH BEO Atlas Einfuhr Ausfuhr 3.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of a user's browser via injecting a crafted payload into the userid and password parameters.
Vitess is a database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL. The /debug/querylogz and /debug/env pages for vtgate and vttablet do not properly escape user input. The result is that queries executed by Vitess can write HTML into the monitoring page at will. These pages are rendered using text/template instead of rendering with a proper HTML templating engine. This vulnerability is fixed in 21.0.1, 20.0.4, and 19.0.8.
Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability found in MarkTwo commit e3a1d3f90cce4ea9c26efcbbf3a1cbfb9dcdb298 (May 2025) allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted script input to the editor interface. The application does not properly sanitize user-supplied Markdown before rendering it. Successful exploitation could lead to session hijacking, credential theft, or arbitrary client-side code execution in the context of the victim's browser.
A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in OpenText ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager and ArcSight Platform. The vulnerability could be remotely exploited.
The GatorMail SmartForms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'gatormailsmartform' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Discourse Placeholder Forms will let you build dynamic documentation. Unsanitized and stored user input was injected in the html of the post. The vulnerability is fixed in commit a62f711d5600e4e5d86f342d52932cb6221672e7.
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Zebra ZTC GK420d 1.0. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file /settings of the component Alert Setup Page. The manipulation of the argument Address leads to cross site scripting. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-258868. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in osCommerce 4. Affected is an unknown function of the file /catalog/all-products. The manipulation of the argument cat leads to cross site scripting. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-262488. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
The WPAdverts – Classifieds Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's adverts_add shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The redirect_to method in Rails allows provided values to contain characters which are not legal in an HTTP header value. This results in the potential for downstream services which enforce RFC compliance on HTTP response headers to remove the assigned Location header.
Vulnerability in Wikimedia Foundation MediaWiki, Wikimedia Foundation Parsoid. This issue affects MediaWiki: before 1.39.12, 1.42.6, 1.43.1; Parsoid: before 0.16.5, 0.19.2, 0.20.2.
| A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Expressway Series could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface.
This vulnerability exists because the web-based management interface does not properly validate user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user of the interface to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive, browser-based information.
Note: Cisco Expressway Series refers to Cisco Expressway Control (Expressway-C) devices and Cisco Expressway Edge (Expressway-E) devices. |
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in WebinarPress allows Reflected XSS.This issue affects WebinarPress: from n/a through 1.33.10.
mailgen is a Node.js package that generates responsive HTML e-mails for sending transactional mail. Mailgen versions through 2.0.31 contain an HTML injection vulnerability in plaintext emails generated with the generatePlaintext method when user generated content is supplied. The plaintext generation code attempts to strip HTML tags using a regular expression and then decodes HTML entities, but tags that include certain Unicode line separator characters are not matched and removed. These encoded tags are later decoded into valid HTML content, allowing unexpected HTML to remain in output intended to be plaintext. Projects are affected if they call Mailgen.generatePlaintext with untrusted input and then render or otherwise process the returned string in a context where HTML is interpreted. This can lead to execution of attacker supplied script in the victim’s browser. Version 2.0.32 fixes the issue.
The aThemes Starter Sites plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via SVG File uploads in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.53 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the SVG file.
Phlex is a framework for building object-oriented views in Ruby. In affected versions there is a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that can be exploited via maliciously crafted user data. Since the last two vulnerabilities https://github.com/phlex-ruby/phlex/security/advisories/GHSA-242p-4v39-2v8g and https://github.com/phlex-ruby/phlex/security/advisories/GHSA-g7xq-xv8c-h98c, we have invested in extensive browser tests. It was these new tests that helped us uncover these issues. As of now the project exercises every possible attack vector the developers can think of — including enumerating every ASCII character, and we run these tests in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Additionally, we test against a list of 6613 known XSS payloads (see: payloadbox/xss-payload-list). The reason these issues were not detected before is the escapes were working as designed. However, their design didn't take into account just how recklessly permissive browsers are when it comes to executing unsafe JavaScript via HTML attributes. If you render an `<a>` tag with an `href` attribute set to a user-provided link, that link could potentially execute JavaScript when clicked by another user. If you splat user-provided attributes when rendering any HTML or SVG tag, malicious event attributes could be included in the output, executing JavaScript when the events are triggered by another user. Patches are available on RubyGems for all minor versions released in the last year. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should configure a Content Security Policy that does not allow `unsafe-inline` which would effectively prevent this vulnerability from being exploited. Users who upgrade are also advised to configure a Content Security Policy header that does not allow `unsafe-inline`.
The Ultimate Blocks – WordPress Blocks Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's tab anchor metabox in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
