| Plack::Middleware::XSendfile versions through 1.0053 for Perl can allow client-controlled path rewriting.
Plack::Middleware::XSendfile allows the variation setting (sendfile type) to be set by the client via the X-Sendfile-Type header, if it is not considered in the middleware constructor or the Plack environment.
A malicious client can set the X-Sendfile-Type header to "X-Accel-Redirect" to services running behind nginx reverse proxies, and then set the X-Accel-Mapping to map the path to an arbitrary file on the server.
Since 1.0053, Plack::Middleware::XSendfile is deprecated and will be removed from future releases of Plack.
This is similar to CVE-2025-61780 for Rack::Sendfile, although Plack::Middleware::XSendfile has some mitigations that disallow regular expressions to be used in the mapping, and only apply the mapping for the "X-Accel-Redirect" type. |

| An issue was discovered in libsndfile 1.2.2 IMA ADPCM codec. The AIFF code path (line 241) was fixed with (sf_count_t) cast, but the WAV code path (line 235) and close path (line 167) were not. When samplesperblock (int) * blocks (int) exceeds INT_MAX, the 32-bit multiplication overflows before being assigned to sf.frames (sf_count_t/int64). With samplesperblock=50000 and blocks=50000, the product 2500000000 overflows to -1794967296. This causes incorrect frame count leading to heap buffer overflow or denial of service. Both values come from the WAV file header and are attacker-controlled. This issue was discovered after an incomplete fix for CVE-2022-33065. |

| Insufficient packet validation in FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP before V4.2.6 and V4.4.1 allows an adjacent network actor to bypass all checksum and minimum-size validation by spoofing the Ethernet source MAC address to match one of the device's own registered endpoints, because the loopback detection mechanism skips all input validation for packets whose source MAC matches a local endpoint.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to the fixed version when available. |
