CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
platform/chrome: cros_ec_typec: Reject out-of-bounds PD cap count
cros_typec_register_partner_pdos() copies the partner PDOs from the EC
TYPEC_STATUS response into the fixed caps_desc.pdo[PDO_MAX_OBJECTS] array.
memcpy(caps_desc.pdo, resp->source_cap_pdos,
sizeof(u32) * resp->source_cap_count);
...
memcpy(caps_desc.pdo, resp->sink_cap_pdos,
sizeof(u32) * resp->sink_cap_count);
PDO_MAX_OBJECTS is 7. source_cap_count and sink_cap_count are u8 fields
from the EC. The only check is that they are not both zero. If either is
larger than 7, the memcpy writes past the end of the array on the stack.
A count of 255 overflows it by about 1 KB. The EC source arrays are only
seven entries wide. A larger count reads past them too.
The ChromeOS EC firmware caps these counts today, so a compliant setup
does not hit this. The kernel should still validate these values rather
than trust them.
Validate the counts in cros_typec_register_partner_pdos() next to the
memcpy. Skip the PDO registration if either count is above PDO_MAX_OBJECTS.
The rest of cros_typec_handle_status() still runs so events are handled
and cleared. |
| The OTP Login & Register Woocommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'fb-config' Setting in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. On multisite installations where administrators do not hold the unfiltered_html capability, this vulnerability can be leveraged to target the network super administrator. |
| The Redux Framework plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the spinner field in versions up to, and including, 4.5.13 This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. In the user_meta_save() function scalar values bypass the sanitization logic that only processes arrays, allowing the spinner field value to be stored in user meta without proper sanitization. Later, at line 56 of class-redux-spinner.php in the render() function, this value is rendered in an unquoted HTML attribute without escaping via '$data_string .= ' data-val=' . $this->value;'. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/sun4i: tcon: Drop TCON TOP device reference
of_find_device_by_node() takes a device reference. Drop it after mux
configuration succeeds. |
| The LiteSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'esi' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Exploitation requires that the attacker supply a validly signed 'esi' value in the GET query string while submitting a separate attacker-controlled 'esi' payload as a POST body field, relying on PHP's default $_REQUEST merge order to have the POST value take precedence at the point of execution. |
| The JetFormBuilder — Dynamic Blocks Form Builder WordPress plugin before 3.6.5.3 does not sufficiently restrict which PHP functions can be used as a custom field-validation callback, relying on a blocklist that omits a file-deletion function, allowing users able to manage forms to cause arbitrary files on the server to be deleted. The deletion itself is carried out when the form is submitted, which requires no authentication. |
| The Estatik Real Estate Plugin WordPress plugin before 4.3.5 does not sanitise and escape several values decoded from a request parameter before reflecting them back in an unauthenticated AJAX response, leading to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/tegra241-cmdqv: Synchronize the error ISR against VINTF (de)init
A user VINTF is torn down by tegra241_cmdqv_deinit_vintf(), which runs from
the destroy callback and from the init-failure unwind in the alloc handler.
It clears the cmdqv->vintfs[] slot and lets the iommufd core free it, but
nothing serializes that against the error interrupt: tegra241_cmdqv_isr()
reads cmdqv->vintfs[idx] and dereferences the vintf. A concurrent error can
make the ISR read a slot mid-clear (a NULL deref) or use a vintf which is
about to be freed (a use-after-free).
deinit_vintf() also returns idx to the IDA before clearing the slot, so a
concurrent create that reuses idx can publish its new vintf into the slot,
only for this teardown to erase it again with the stale NULL store.
On the other end, tegra241_cmdqv_init_vintf() publishes a new vintf with a
plain store to the cmdqv->vintfs[] slot, and the ISR dereferences fields of
a published vintf such as vintf->base. A plain store gives no ordering on a
weakly-ordered CPU, and a stale VINTF_ERR_MAP bit on a reused idx can make
the ISR pick a vintf the moment it is published, before its fields are set
or tegra241_vintf_hw_init() runs.
The cmdqv->vintfs[0] slot stays NULL until tegra241_cmdqv_init_structures()
first creates VINTF0, so the slot 0 read needs the same NULL check.
Publish every slot with an smp_store_release(), and read each slot in the
ISR with an smp_load_acquire() under a NULL check, so the ISR always sees
a fully built vintf or NULL. Also make deinit_vintf() clear the slot, and
synchronize_irq() prior to returning idx to the IDA, so no vintf is freed
under a running handler and no reused idx is clobbered. |
| Exim before 4.100.1, when Proxy-Protocol is used with an attacker-controlled proxy, has an out-of-bounds write. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation. |
| NUUO Network Video Recorder 2.0.0 is vulnerable to Command Injection in handle_import_privilege.php. |
| The Business Name Generator WordPress plugin through 1.3 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). |
| FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.2.4 until 2.5.6, configuring synth.midi-channels above 16 allows the MIDI player to index _fluid_player_t::channel_isplaying outside its fixed-size heap allocation while tracking active channels. The resulting out-of-bounds reads and writes invoke undefined behavior and may compromise confidentiality, integrity, or availability. No crafted MIDI file is required because the unsafe condition is created by the channel-count configuration itself. Keeping synth.midi-channels at its default value of 16 avoids the vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 8.0.0 until 8.0.6, the DHCP parser in rust/src/dhcp/dhcp.rs creates stateless transactions without recording their packet direction with AppLayerTxData::for_direction(), so a sensor that observes only one direction cannot mark the unseen direction inspected or free completed transactions. The RDP parser in rust/src/rdp/rdp.rs has the same direction-state defect. The per-flow transaction list can grow without bound and cleanup repeatedly scans it, causing increasing CPU and memory consumption and eventual denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to 8.0.6, the FTP parser in src/app-layer-ftp.c treats a RETR or STOR command sent before PORT or PASV negotiation as a fatal application-layer error instead of a recoverable protocol event. The fatal state disables FTP application-layer parsing for the remainder of the TCP flow, so later commands can evade parser-dependent rules and logging; IPS mode instead drops the flow. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 7.0.0 until 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, the MQTT parser in rust/src/mqtt/mqtt.rs permits repeated PUBREC or PUBREL messages to be appended to one transaction without a limit. Crafted MQTT traffic can grow transaction state indefinitely, consuming CPU and memory and causing slowdown or denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17. |
| The Pochipp plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'keyword' parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.20.2. This is due to insufficient output escaping , which reads $_GET['keyword'], applies only sanitize_text_field() (which strips tags but leaves double quotes intact) and interpolates the value directly into the value attribute of the search input via a PHP heredoc, without esc_attr(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user with upload_files capability (Author or above) into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link to /wp-admin/media-upload. |
| The Master Blocks WordPress plugin before 1.5.0 does not have authorisation on one of its REST routes, allowing unauthenticated users to update its settings, including a value that is output unescaped in the admin area, leading to Stored XSS that executes in the session of any administrator visiting a wp-admin page. |
| A flaw has been found in olivier-ls PHP-FTS up to 1.1.2. Affected by this issue is the function SearchEngine::buildHighlights of the file src/SearchEngine.php of the component Search Engine. Executing a manipulation of the argument Query can lead to cross site scripting. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. Upgrading to version 1.1.3 can resolve this issue. This patch is called 0b2fae333d6b022da7ed4c43e2d41aa03f91dff3. The affected component should be upgraded. The vendor was contacted early, responded in a very professional manner and quickly released a fixed version of the affected product. |
