CVE-2022-49326 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtl818x: Prevent using not initialized queues Using not existing queues can panic the kernel with rtl8180/rtl8185 cards. Ignore the skb priority for those cards, they only have one tx queue. Pierre Asselin (pa@panix.com) reported the kernel crash in the Gentoo forum: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1147832-postdays-0-postorder-asc-start-25.html He also confirmed that this patch fixes the issue. In summary this happened: After updating wpa_supplicant from 2.9 to 2.10 the kernel crashed with a "divide error: 0000" when connecting to an AP. Control port tx now tries to use IEEE80211_AC_VO for the priority, which wpa_supplicants starts to use in 2.10. Since only the rtl8187se part of the driver supports QoS, the priority of the skb is set to IEEE80211_AC_BE (2) by mac80211 for rtl8180/rtl8185 cards. rtl8180 is then unconditionally reading out the priority and finally crashes on drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtl818x/rtl8180/dev.c line 544 without this patch: idx = (ring->idx + skb_queue_len(&ring->queue)) % ring->entries "ring->entries" is zero for rtl8180/rtl8185 cards, tx_ring[2] never got initialized.
CVE-2022-49325 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: add accessors to read/set tp->snd_cwnd We had various bugs over the years with code breaking the assumption that tp->snd_cwnd is greater than zero. Lately, syzbot reported the WARN_ON_ONCE(!tp->prior_cwnd) added in commit 8b8a321ff72c ("tcp: fix zero cwnd in tcp_cwnd_reduction") can trigger, and without a repro we would have to spend considerable time finding the bug. Instead of complaining too late, we want to catch where and when tp->snd_cwnd is set to an illegal value.
CVE-2022-49324 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mips: cpc: Fix refcount leak in mips_cpc_default_phys_base Add the missing of_node_put() to release the refcount incremented by of_find_compatible_node().
CVE-2022-49323 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/arm-smmu: fix possible null-ptr-deref in arm_smmu_device_probe() It will cause null-ptr-deref when using 'res', if platform_get_resource() returns NULL, so move using 'res' after devm_ioremap_resource() that will check it to avoid null-ptr-deref. And use devm_platform_get_and_ioremap_resource() to simplify code.
CVE-2022-49322 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix sleeping function called from invalid context on RT kernel When setting bootparams="trace_event=initcall:initcall_start tp_printk=1" in the cmdline, the output_printk() was called, and the spin_lock_irqsave() was called in the atomic and irq disable interrupt context suitation. On the PREEMPT_RT kernel, these locks are replaced with sleepable rt-spinlock, so the stack calltrace will be triggered. Fix it by raw_spin_lock_irqsave when PREEMPT_RT and "trace_event=initcall:initcall_start tp_printk=1" enabled. CVE-2022-49315 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: staging: rtl8192e: Fix deadlock in rtllib_beacons_stop() There is a deadlock in rtllib_beacons_stop(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | rtllib_send_beacon() rtllib_beacons_stop() | mod_timer() spin_lock_irqsave() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | rtllib_send_beacon_cb() del_timer_sync() | spin_lock_irqsave() //(2) (wait timer to stop) | ... We hold ieee->beacon_lock in position (1) of thread 1 and use del_timer_sync() to wait timer to stop, but timer handler also need ieee->beacon_lock in position (2) of thread 2. As a result, rtllib_beacons_stop() will block forever. This patch extracts del_timer_sync() from the protection of spin_lock_irqsave(), which could let timer handler to obtain the needed lock.

CVE-2022-49312 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8712: fix a potential memory leak in r871xu_drv_init() In r871xu_drv_init(), if r8712_init_drv_sw() fails, then the memory allocated by r8712_alloc_io_queue() in r8712_usb_dvobj_init() is not properly released as there is no action will be performed by r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit(). To properly release it, we should call r8712_free_io_queue() in r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit(). Besides, in r871xu_dev_remove(), r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() will be called by r871x_dev_unload() under condition `padapter->bup` and r8712_free_io_queue() is called by r8712_free_drv_sw(). However, r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() does not rely on `padapter->bup` and calling r8712_free_io_queue() in r8712_free_drv_sw() is negative for better understading the code. So I move r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() into r871xu_dev_remove(), and remove r8712_free_io_queue() from r8712_free_drv_sw().

CVE-2022-49304 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: tty: serial: Fix deadlock in sa1100_set_termios() There is a deadlock in sa1100_set_termios(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | sa1100_enable_ms() sa1100_set_termios() | mod_timer() spin_lock_irqsave() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | sa1100_timeout() del_timer_sync() | spin_lock_irqsave() //(2) (wait timer to stop) | ... As a result, sa1100_set_termios() will block forever. This patch moves del_timer_sync() before spin_lock_irqsave() in order to prevent the deadlock.
CVE-2022-49303 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: staging: rtl8192eu: Fix deadlock in rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle There is a deadlock in rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | _set_timer() rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle()| mod_timer() spin_lock_bh() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | rtw_join_timeout_handler() | _rtw_join_timeout_handler() del_timer_sync() | spin_lock_bh() //(2) (wait timer to stop) | ... As a result, rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle() will block forever. This patch extracts del_timer_sync() from the protection of spin_lock_bh(), which could let timer handler to obtain the needed lock. What`s more, we change spin_lock_bh() to spin_lock_irq() in _rtw_join_timeout_handler() in order to prevent deadlock.
