CVSS v3.1 |
An exploitable heap corruption vulnerability exists in the GetIndexArray functionality of Antenna House DMC HTMLFilter as used by MarkLogic 8.0-6. A specially crafted XLS file can cause a heap corruption resulting in arbitrary code execution. An attacker can send or provide a malicious XLS file to trigger this vulnerability.
When copying filedata into a buffer, JustSystems Ichitaro Office 2016 Trial will calculate two values to determine how much data to copy from the document. If both of these values are larger than the size of the buffer, the application will choose the smaller of the two and trust it to copy data from the file. This value is larger than the buffer size, which leads to a heap-based buffer overflow. This overflow corrupts an offset in the heap used in pointer arithmetic for writing data and can lead to code execution under the context of the application.
The id3_ucs4_length function in ucs4.c in libid3tag 0.15.1b allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL Pointer Dereference and application crash) via a crafted mp3 file.
musl libc before 1.1.17 has a buffer overflow via crafted DNS replies because dns_parse_callback in network/lookup_name.c does not restrict the number of addresses, and thus an attacker can provide an unexpected number by sending A records in a reply to an AAAA query.
ChakraCore and Windows 10 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to how the scripting engine handles objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-11886, CVE-2017-11889, CVE-2017-11890, CVE-2017-11893, CVE-2017-11894, CVE-2017-11895, CVE-2017-11901, CVE-2017-11903, CVE-2017-11905, CVE-2017-11905, CVE-2017-11907, CVE-2017-11908, CVE-2017-11909, CVE-2017-11910, CVE-2017-11912, CVE-2017-11913, CVE-2017-11914, CVE-2017-11916, CVE-2017-11918, and CVE-2017-11930.
ChakraCore and Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to how the scripting engine handles objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-11886, CVE-2017-11889, CVE-2017-11890, CVE-2017-11893, CVE-2017-11894, CVE-2017-11895, CVE-2017-11901, CVE-2017-11903, CVE-2017-11905, CVE-2017-11905, CVE-2017-11907, CVE-2017-11908, CVE-2017-11909, CVE-2017-11911, CVE-2017-11912, CVE-2017-11913, CVE-2017-11914, CVE-2017-11916, CVE-2017-11918, and CVE-2017-11930.
An issue was discovered in the size of the stack guard page on Linux, specifically a 4k stack guard page is not sufficiently large and can be "jumped" over (the stack guard page is bypassed), this affects Linux Kernel versions 4.11.5 and earlier (the stackguard page was introduced in 2010).
IrfanView 4.44 (32bit) with FPX Plugin 4.47 might allow attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .fpx file, related to a "Read Access Violation starting at wow64!Wow64NotifyDebugger+0x000000000000001d."
Multiple buffer overflows in the Autodesk FBX-SDK before 2017.1 can allow attackers to execute arbitrary code when reading or converting malformed DFX format files.
Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.4 and earlier versions 4.5.4 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
In android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, an integer overflow leading to a buffer overflow due to improper bound checking in msm_audio_effects_virtualizer_handler, file msm-audio-effects-q6-v2.c
IrfanView 4.50 - 64bit with CADImage plugin version 12.0.0.5 allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .dwg file, related to a "Read Access Violation starting at CADIMAGE+0x00000000003d22d8."
IrfanView 4.50 - 64bit with CADImage plugin version 12.0.0.5 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted .dwg file, related to "Data from Faulting Address controls subsequent Write Address starting at CADIMAGE+0x00000000000042d5."
In Netwide Assembler (NASM) 2.14rc0, preproc.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file.
IrfanView 4.50 - 64bit with CADImage plugin version 12.0.0.5 allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .dwg file, related to "Data from Faulting Address controls Branch Selection starting at CADIMAGE+0x000000000002ca2e."
libffi requests an executable stack allowing attackers to more easily trigger arbitrary code execution by overwriting the stack. Please note that libffi is used by a number of other libraries. It was previously stated that this affects libffi version 3.2.1 but this appears to be incorrect. libffi prior to version 3.1 on 32 bit x86 systems was vulnerable, and upstream is believed to have fixed this issue in version 3.1.
The ExifJpegHUFFTable::deriveTable function in ExifHuffmanTable.cpp in OpenExif 2.1.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) via a crafted jpg file.
On Broadcom BCM4355C0 Wi-Fi chips 9.44.78.27.0.1.56 and other chips, an attacker can craft a malformed RRM neighbor report frame to trigger an internal buffer overflow in the Wi-Fi firmware, aka B-V2017061204.
On Broadcom BCM4355C0 Wi-Fi chips 9.44.78.27.0.1.56 and other chips, properly crafted malicious over-the-air Fast Transition frames can potentially trigger internal Wi-Fi firmware heap and/or stack overflows, leading to denial of service or other effects, aka B-V2017061205.
An issue was discovered in the size of the default stack guard page on PAX Linux (originally from GRSecurity but shipped by other Linux vendors), specifically the default stack guard page is not sufficiently large and can be "jumped" over (the stack guard page is bypassed), this affects PAX Linux Kernel versions as of June 19, 2017 (specific version information is not available at this time).
