CVE-2026-12520 2026-08-18 6.4 Medium
The Sierra Wireless HL7800 cellular modem driver (drivers/modem/vendor_standalone/hl7800.c, located at drivers/modem/hl7800.c in v4.4.0 and earlier) parses AT responses with roughly twenty handlers that call net_buf_linearize(value, sizeof(value), *buf, 0, len) into a 128-byte stack buffer and then write value[out_len] = 0. Because net_buf_linearize() (lib/net_buf/buf.c) can return a count equal to its destination-length argument, a field that exactly fills the buffer makes the terminating NUL land one byte past the end, a single-byte out-of-bounds write into adjacent stack memory. The +KCELLMEAS cell-measurement handler on_cmd_atcmdinfo_rssi() is worse: it passed the wire length len as the destination size (net_buf_linearize(value, len, *buf, 0, len)), so a response line longer than 128 bytes overflows the value stack buffer with attacker-influenceable content. The line length comes from net_buf_findcrlf(), which accumulates bytes across the whole net_buf fragment chain and is not bounded to 128, so an over-long line reaches the defect. The data originates from the cellular modem over UART, driven by the network: operator-scan results, +CGCONTRDP IP/DNS info, socket indications, and +KCELLMEAS neighbour-cell reports. An attacker able to shape what the modem emits — a rogue base station, a compromised modem baseband, or a remote peer feeding oversized response framing — can drive a line past 128 bytes. The handlers run in the driver's RX thread in kernel context, so the corruption is kernel-side. The +KCELLMEAS path is a full stack buffer overflow whose worst case is code execution in kernel context and whose floor is a reliable crash; the remaining sites are single-byte NUL out-of-bounds writes. Exploitation requires the modem to emit an over-long AT response line, giving high attack complexity over an adjacent (cellular radio) vector. The fix passes sizeof(dst) - 1 (and correct explicit bounds for the IMSI and +KCELLMEAS sites) so the terminator always stays in bounds.
CVE-2026-59310 1 Vmware 6 Cloud Foundation, Telco Cloud Infrastructure, Telco Cloud Platform and 3 more 2026-08-18 9.8 Critical

CVE-2026-75936 1 Amazon Ion 1 Amazon Ion Java 2026-08-18 N/A
Improper handling of highly compressed data in the GZIP auto-decompression handler in Amazon ion-java before 1.12.0 might allow remote actors to cause a denial of service via a crafted compressed Ion document that expands to an arbitrarily large size upon decompression. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.12.0 and configure withGzipDecompressionEnabled(false) and/or set an explicit withMaximumBufferSize() when parsing untrusted input.
CVE-2026-48597 1 Elixir-tesla 1 Tesla 2026-08-18 5.9 Medium
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in elixir-tesla tesla allows denial of service via atom table exhaustion in Tesla.Adapter.Mint. Tesla.Adapter.Mint.open_conn/2 converts the URL scheme of every outgoing request to a BEAM atom via String.to_atom(uri.scheme) with no allow-list validation. BEAM atoms are never garbage-collected and the atom table is bounded (approximately 1,048,576 entries by default). An attacker who can influence the URL of a Tesla request — either via an application-level URL-forwarding feature (webhook, proxy, importer) or via a Location header returned by a server when Tesla.Middleware.FollowRedirects is in the pipeline — can mint one fresh permanent atom per request by varying the scheme string. After enough requests the atom table fills and the VM crashes, taking down the entire application. This issue affects tesla: from 1.3.0 before 1.18.3.
CVE-2026-75935 1 Amazon Ion 1 Amazon Ion Java 2026-08-18 7.5 High
Uncontrolled memory allocation in the binary Ion stream cursor in Amazon ion-java before 1.12.0 might allow remote actors to cause a denial of service via a crafted Ion binary document containing a declared-length field that causes excessive heap preallocation. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.12.0.
CVE-2026-48598 1 Elixir-tesla 1 Tesla 2026-08-18 3.7 Low
Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability in elixir-tesla tesla allows multipart part header injection via unescaped Content-Disposition parameter values. Tesla.Multipart.part_headers_for_disposition/1 interpolates each disposition parameter as #{k}="#{v}" with no validation of CR (\r), LF (\n), or double-quote characters. The values come verbatim from the caller via Tesla.Multipart.add_field/4 (the name parameter), Tesla.Multipart.add_file/3, and Tesla.Multipart.add_file_content/4 (both the filename parameter and other disposition opts). A " in the value closes the quoted parameter early; a \r\n ends the Content-Disposition header line and starts a new part header (such as a forged Content-Type), or, after a second \r\n, ends the entire part header block and prepends bytes to the part body. The default-filename path in add_file/3 derives the filename via Path.basename/1, which does not strip CR or LF, so any application forwarding a partially-attacker-controlled file path inherits the same issue. This issue affects tesla: from 0.8.0 before 1.18.3.
CVE-2026-48508 1 Netflix 1 Lemur 2026-08-18 8.8 High
Lemur manages TLS certificate creation. Prior to 1.9.1, StrictRolePermission and AuthorityCreatorPermission in lemur/auth/permissions.py call flask_principal.Permission.__init__() with zero Need objects when ADMIN_ONLY_AUTHORITY_CREATION and LEMUR_STRICT_ROLE_ENFORCEMENT are unset because both flags default to False. Flask-Principal Permission.allows() returns True when self.needs is empty, so the .can() authorization gate permits every authenticated identity, including the read-only role. A read-only user can access POST /api/1/authorities, POST /api/1/certificates/upload, POST /api/1/pending_certificates//upload, POST /api/1/notifications, PUT or DELETE /api/1/notifications/, and POST /api/1/domains to create root Certificate Authorities, upload arbitrary certificates, create or edit notifications that reach an SSRF sink, and create domain entries. Explicitly setting either flag to False continues to opt into the permissive behavior. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix misplaced inc of net->cells_outstanding Fix net->cells_outstanding being incremented before the check for failure of idr_alloc_cyclic(), leaving the count incremented on error.
CVE-2026-72418 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-18 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: prevent connlimit drops for early confirmed ct Commit 69894e5b4c5e ("netfilter: nft_connlimit: update the count if add was skipped") introduced a regression where packets for valid connections are dropped when using connlimit for soft-limiting scenarios. The issue occurs when a new connection reuses a socket currently in the TIME_WAIT state. In this scenario, the connection tracking entry is evaluated as already confirmed. Previously, __nf_conncount_add() assumed that if a connection was confirmed and did not originate from the loopback interface, it should skip the addition and return -EEXIST. Skipping the addition triggers a garbage collection run that cleans up the TIME_WAIT connection. Consequently, the active connection count drops to 0, which xt_connlimit mishandles, leading to the false rejection of the perfectly valid new connection. Fix this by replacing the interface check with protocol-agnostic state checks. We now skip the tree insertion and preserve the lockless garbage collection optimization only if the connection is IPS_ASSURED. This allows early-confirmed setup packets (such as reused TIME_WAIT sockets or locally generated SYN-ACKs) to be properly evaluated and counted without falsely dropping. The goto check_connections path is maintained to ensure these setup packets are deduplicated correctly. This has been tested with slowhttptest and HTTP server configured locally to ensure we are not breaking soft-limiting scenarios for local or external connections. In addition, it was tested with a OVS zone limit too.

CVE-2026-49452 1 Kozea 1 Weasyprint 2026-08-18 6.5 Medium
WeasyPrint helps web developers to create PDF documents. Prior to 69.0, WeasyPrint embeds unescaped HTML presentational-hint attribute values into CSS in weasyprint/css/__init__.py when presentational_hints=True. The background attribute is inserted into a background-image:url() declaration and parsed by tinycss2.parse_blocks_contents(), allowing untrusted HTML to inject additional CSS declarations. Applications that render untrusted HTML with presentational hints enabled can be affected by CSS injection and server-side requests through injected url() values. This issue is fixed in version 69.0.
