CVE-2026-80657 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: Guard management mailbox channel cleanup against NULL pointer The management mailbox channel cleanup helpers can be called from error handling paths when mgmt_chann has already been destroyed. Add NULL checks to xdna_mailbox_free_channel() and xdna_mailbox_stop_channel() so the cleanup path safely returns instead of dereferencing a NULL mailbox channel pointer.
CVE-2026-80659 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: defer reset until cmd_mutex is unlocked vub300_cmndwork_thread() holds cmd_mutex while it sends a command and waits for the command response. If the response wait times out, __vub300_command_response() kills the command URBs and then synchronously resets the USB device through usb_reset_device(). That reset path re-enters the driver through vub300_pre_reset(), which also takes cmd_mutex. The worker therefore tries to acquire the same mutex recursively while it is still holding it from the command path. This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then manually reviewed against the current tree. The grounded PoC kept the real worker and timeout/reset carrier: vub300_cmndwork_thread() __vub300_command_response() usb_lock_device_for_reset() usb_reset_device() vub300_pre_reset() Lockdep reported the same-task recursive acquisition on cmd_mutex: WARNING: possible recursive locking detected ... (&test_vub300.cmd_mutex) ... at: usb_reset_device... [vuln_msv] ... (&test_vub300.cmd_mutex) ... at: vub300_cmndwork_thread+0x12/0x20 [vuln_msv] Workqueue: vub300_cmd_wq vub300_cmndwork_thread [vuln_msv] *** DEADLOCK *** Return a flag from __vub300_command_response() when the timeout path needs a device reset, then perform the reset after vub300_cmndwork_thread() has cleared the in-flight command state and dropped cmd_mutex. The reset is still attempted before mmc_request_done(), preserving the existing request completion ordering while avoiding the recursive lock.
CVE-2026-40541 2026-08-28 9 Critical
An improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in extract domain in Synology Chat Server before 2.4.5-22148 allows remote authenticated users, via a UI interaction, to read or write arbitrary files and conduct denial-of-service attacks in DSM.
CVE-2026-80597 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: maps: vmu-flash: fix NULL pointer dereference in initialization The mtd_info contains a struct device, which must be linked to its parent. Without this, the initialization of the MTD fails with a NULL pointer dereference.
CVE-2026-80616 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ieee802154: Avoid calling WARN_ON() on -ENOMEM in cfg802154_switch_netns() It's pointless to call WARN_ON() in case of an allocation failure in dev_change_net_namespace() and device_rename(), since it only leads to useless splats caused by deliberate fault injections, so avoid it. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.
CVE-2026-80620 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error" This reverts commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c81261bcdf13556abd4a958eca202. Commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c ("PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error") added an iounmap(dev->msix_base) on the error path of msix_capability_init() to release the MSI-X region when msix_setup_interrupts() fails. When msix_setup_interrupts() fails, the call chain is: msix_setup_interrupts() -> __msix_setup_interrupts() struct pci_dev *dev __free(free_msi_irqs) = __dev; ... return ret; // __free cleanup fires on error The __free(free_msi_irqs) cleanup calls pci_free_msi_irqs(), which already handles the unmap: void pci_free_msi_irqs(struct pci_dev *dev) { pci_msi_teardown_msi_irqs(dev); if (dev->msix_base) { iounmap(dev->msix_base); // already unmapped here dev->msix_base = NULL; // and set to NULL } } So dev->msix_base is unmapped and set to NULL before msix_setup_interrupts() returns to msix_capability_init(). The "goto out_unmap" introduced by commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c ("PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error") then calls iounmap() a second time on a NULL pointer. This was reproduced on Intel Emerald Rapids (192 CPUs) while running tools/testing/selftests/kexec/test_kexec_jump.sh: WARNING: CPU#44 at iounmap+0x2a/0xe0 RIP: 0010:iounmap+0x2a/0xe0 RDI: 0000000000000000 Call Trace: msix_capability_init+0x317/0x3f0 __pci_enable_msix_range+0x21d/0x2c0 pci_alloc_irq_vectors_affinity+0xa9/0x130 nvme_setup_io_queues+0x2a8/0x420 [nvme] nvme_reset_work+0x151/0x340 [nvme] ... RDI=0 confirms iounmap() is called with NULL. Restore the original "goto out_disable" and leave the unmap to the existing __free(free_msi_irqs) cleanup.
CVE-2026-5096 2026-08-28 5.3 Medium
The Everest Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.4. This is due to the `load_previous_field_value()` method in `class-evf-form-task.php` accepting arbitrary URL values from `$_POST` data for upload fields without domain restriction, which are then passed to `wp_remote_head()` in the `get_local_file_size()` method of `class-evf-form-fields-upload.php`. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to force the WordPress server to make outbound HTTP HEAD requests to arbitrary URLs by submitting a form with an upload field containing a malicious URL while leaving a required field empty to trigger form re-rendering.
CVE-2026-75758 1 Elixir-lang 1 Elixir 2026-08-28 N/A
Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in the Elixir standard library allows an attacker who controls a list passed to inspect/1, List.to_string/1, or List.to_charlist/1 to exhaust a BEAM node's memory. Inspect.List's charlist branch in lib/elixir/lib/inspect.ex classifies a list as a charlist using List.ascii_printable?/2, which examines only the first :printable_limit (4096 by default) elements, and then calls IO.chardata_to_string/1 on the whole term. A list whose printable prefix exceeds that limit but which contains a later element that is not a code point (an atom, an out-of-range integer, or an improper tail) is therefore mis-classified, and the conversion raises ArgumentError. That conversion runs inside List.to_string/1, whose rescue clause builds its message by interpolating inspect(list), which re-enters the same branch and raises again. The nested inspection is an argument to raise, so the recursion is not in tail position and every level is retained: the process stack grows monotonically while each cycle re-walks the list, until the process is killed by max_heap_size or, by default, the node runs out of memory. List.to_charlist/1 has the same rescue shape. Below the printable limit the inner inspect/1 sees the invalid element within its counter and renders the list in ordinary bracket form, so a single ArgumentError is raised and no recursion occurs. This issue affects elixir: from 1.15.0-rc.0 before 1.18.5, from 1.19.0-rc.0 before 1.19.6, and from 1.20.0-rc.0 before 1.20.4.
CVE-2026-36102 1 Bluewave-labs 1 Checkmate 2026-08-28 N/A
An issue in the inviteController.js component in Bluewave Labs Checkmate <=3.3.0 allows remote authenticated administrators to escalate privileges to superadmin via the role parameter to the /api/v1/invite endpoint.
CVE-2026-82255 1 Gitoxidelabs 1 Gitoxide 2026-08-28 6.8 Medium
gitoxide versions from 0.25.4 contain an HTTP credential leak vulnerability in the curl-based transport backend where credentials are sent to attacker-controlled servers after HTTP redirects. The vulnerability occurs because credential validation checks the original URL instead of the effective URL after redirect, allowing attackers to steal authentication tokens through cross-domain redirects or HTTPS-to-HTTP downgrades.
CVE-2026-82250 1 Gitoxidelabs 1 Gitoxide 2026-08-28 6.5 Medium
gitoxide gix-packetline versions before 0.21.5 contain a panic vulnerability in the TextRef implementation that occurs when processing side-band packet lines with empty payloads. A malicious Git server can send a crafted side-band packet to trigger an index out of bounds panic, aborting the client process during fetch operations without authentication.
CVE-2026-82235 1 Filebrowser 1 Filebrowser 2026-08-28 5.9 Medium
filebrowser through 2.63.23 fails to validate named pipes in directory archive and public download handlers, allowing attackers to trigger blocking open syscalls. Authenticated users or anonymous visitors with public share links can repeatedly request archives containing named pipes to pin server goroutines and exhaust connection resources.
CVE-2026-81523 1 Mongodb 1 Libmongocrypt 2026-08-28 4.4 Medium
A missing input-validation issue in MongoDB libmongocrypt's automatic-encryption context setup allows a caller-supplied database identifier to be accepted without sanitization. The resulting impact is limited to incorrect schema selection, which may lead to limited disclosure or modification of information handled by the application.
CVE-2026-5097 2 Tomdever, Wordpress 2 Wpforo Forum, Wordpress 2026-08-28 7.5 High
The wpForo Forum plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'referer' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.17. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
CVE-2026-37003 1 Agno 1 Agno 2026-08-28 N/A
Agno up to and including 2.5.8 is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution (RCE) via prompt injection. The PythonTools and ShellTools components pass unsanitized, LLM-generated arguments directly to execution sinks including exec(), runpy.run_path(), and subprocess.run(). An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by embedding malicious instructions in content processed by the agent (such as web pages or documents), allowing for arbitrary code and OS command execution on the host server.
CVE-2026-80553 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Cancel existing workqueues The initialization of the io_work and crw_work workqueues begs the question of whether they should be un-initialized. Add the corresponding cleanup tags in _release_dev to ensure work isn't dispatched after the private struct is free'd.
CVE-2026-80556 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: atmel-mci: Fix use-after-free in atmci_remove due to race condition In atmci_probe, &host->bh_work is bound with atmci_work_func, and atmci_interrupt, atmci_timeout_timer and atmci_dma_complete can all queue this work on system_bh_wq. If we remove the module, atmci_remove makes cleanup and the memory allocated for host with devm_kzalloc() is released after the remove callback returns, while the work mentioned above may still be pending or running. The sequence of operations that may lead to a UAF bug is as follows: CPU0 CPU1 | atmci_interrupt | queue_work(system_bh_wq, | &host->bh_work) atmci_remove | atmci_cleanup_slot(...) | atmci_writel(host, ATMCI_IDR, ~0UL) | timer_delete_sync(&host->timer) | dma_release_channel(host->dma.chan) | free_irq(platform_get_irq(pdev, 0), host) | | atmci_work_func | // use host // devm resources released after | // remove returns, host is freed | | // use host (use-after-free) Fix it by canceling the work after all the sources that can schedule it (IRQ handler, timeout timer and DMA completion callback) have been stopped, and before proceeding with the remaining cleanup in atmci_remove.
CVE-2026-80557 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: fix OOB read in decode_watchers() via missing bounds check ceph_start_decoding() validates that struct_len bytes remain in the buffer after the encoding header, but accepts struct_len=0 as valid: ceph_decode_need(p, end, 0, bad) always passes. When a malicious or compromised OSD sends an obj_list_watch_response_t reply with struct_len=0, ceph_start_decoding() returns success with p == end, leaving zero bytes guaranteed for subsequent reads. The immediately following ceph_decode_32(p) in decode_watchers() has no preceding bounds check. With p == end this is a 4-byte read past the validated buffer boundary. The garbage value is then passed directly to kzalloc_objs() as the watcher count. The sibling function decode_watcher() already uses the safe variants (ceph_decode_copy_safe, ceph_decode_64_safe, ceph_decode_skip_32) after its own ceph_start_decoding() call. decode_watchers() is the only site that uses the bare variant, confirming an oversight. Fix by replacing ceph_decode_32(p) with ceph_decode_32_safe(p, end, *num_watchers, bad), consistent with the established pattern. Attacker model: a malicious or compromised OSD in a multi-tenant Ceph deployment (e.g. cloud) can trigger this against any kernel client that calls CEPH_OSD_OP_LIST_WATCHERS, without any further privileges beyond OSD session establishment. CVE-2026-80558 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Avoid using invalid osd indices from primary_temp A corrupted osdmap received from a Ceph monitor or OSD may contain osd indices in its pg_temp, primary_temp, pg_upmap, and pg_upmap_items parts that don't exist, i.e., that are greater than max_osd or smaller than CEPH_HOMELESS_OSD (-1). These indices are used to create the up and acting set in ceph_pg_to_up_acting_osds(), called from calc_target(). While most of these osd indices are checked, the one from primary_temp is not. Subsequently, this may lead to calc_target() returning this (potentially invalid) index as target osd for a (linger) request. Because the osd_state, osd_weight, and osd_addr arrays only contain max_osd entries (with indices 0 to max_osd -1), this leads to out-of-bounds accesses when trying to read values from these arrays. This patch fixes the issue by adding a check to get_temp_osds(), so that only valid osd indices from primary_temp are used, and it falls back to using the primary from pg_temp or the up set if it is invalid. CVE-2026-80560 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openrisc: signal: do not restore privileged SR bits on sigreturn restore_sigcontext() copies the whole supervision register (SR) from the signal frame and only clears SPR_SR_SM before the value is reloaded into the hardware SR (through ESR and l.rfe) on the return to user space. All other SR bits are left under user control. An unprivileged task can thus return from a signal handler through a crafted sigframe that clears SPR_SR_DME. With the data MMU disabled the CPU performs no translation or protection on data accesses, so the task gains read and write access to arbitrary physical memory, a local privilege escalation. SPR_SR_IME, SPR_SR_SUMRA, SPR_SR_LEE, SPR_SR_EPH and the cache-enable bits are exposed the same way. The ptrace GPR regset already refuses any change to SR for exactly this reason. Restore only the arithmetic flag bits (F, CY, OV) from the signal frame and take every privileged control bit from the SR the kernel saved on signal entry. Verified with qemu-system-or1k -M or1k-sim: before this change an unprivileged PoC clears SPR_SR_DME in rt_sigreturn and writes a marker to physical address 0x03000000 (beyond the kernel's mem=32M); afterwards the same PoC receives SIGSEGV and physical memory is unchanged.
