| Stanza is a Stanford NLP Python library for tokenization, sentence segmentation, NER, and parsing of many human languages. Prior to 1.14.0, stanza.resources.common.unzip in stanza/resources/common.py passes downloaded model and resource archives to zipfile.ZipFile.extractall without validating member paths, and the vulnerable extraction path is reachable through stanza.download and stanza.install_corenlp. A malicious archive containing parent-directory traversal entries can write outside the intended model directory, allowing files writable by the Stanza process to be overwritten and potentially enabling code execution through modified shell configuration, SSH authorization data, Python packages, or executable scripts. | oras-go is a Go library for managing OCI artifacts. Prior to 2.6.2, content/file.Store extraction of OCI layers marked with io.deis.oras.content.unpack=true can write outside the store working directory. The pushDir path through extractTarDirectory and ensureLinkPath validates symlink targets lexically, resolveRelToBase skips its parent-symlink walk for root-level entries, and writeFile follows a terminal symlink when opening a regular file. A malicious archive can therefore create a symlink chain whose lexical target remains inside the extraction root but whose resolved target is an attacker-selected absolute path, then overwrite that target with a same-named regular-file entry even when AllowPathTraversalOnWrite is false. Pulling an attacker-controlled artifact can create or overwrite any file writable by the process and may lead to code execution. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.2. | ||||

| Junrar is an open source Java RAR archive library. Prior to version 7.6.1, LocalFolderExtractor in src/main/java/com/github/junrar/LocalFolderExtractor.java can create directories outside the intended extraction root when processing a crafted archive entry. LocalFolderExtractor.createFile() validates only the final canonical file path, while LocalFolderExtractor.makeFile() creates intermediate path segments with unchecked mkdir() calls. An entry can therefore make the final path resolve inside the destination while causing intermediate directory creation outside it, enabling filesystem pollution or file-versus-directory squatting that can make later security-sensitive writes fail. The demonstrated impact is directory creation, not unconditional arbitrary file-content write. This issue is fixed in version 7.6.1. | ||||

| Apache NiFi Registry 0.4.0 through 2.11.0 are subject to path manipulation when storing extension bundle content using group, artifact, and version coordinates from uploaded NAR manifests. The default file persistence provider used coordinates as filesystem path components without rejected parent-directory names, and the path-containment check compared an unnormalized resolved path. An authenticated user authorized to write and delete bundles in a bucket can upload a NAR with a crafted manifest resulting in file system operations outside of the file persistence directory. Upgrading to Apache NiFi Registry 2.12.0 is the recommended mitigation, which rejects parent-directory coordinates and requires a normalized path to remain a strict child of the storage root location. | ||||

| A flaw was found in SmallRye JWT's AwsAlbKeyResolver, which is used by applications to verify JSON Web Tokens signed by AWS Application Load Balancers. When the AWS_ALB key provider is configured, the resolver constructs the key-fetch URL by directly concatenating the attacker-controlled kid header value from an inbound JWT without sanitizing path traversal characters or query-string separators. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to force the application server to issue GET requests to arbitrary paths on the same origin as the configured key endpoint. As a result, non-public endpoints or internal data reachable on that origin may be read by the attacker before JWT signature verification takes place. | ||||

| Grafana OSS and Grafana Enterprise did not safely resolve symbolic links when extracting plugin archives. A crafted plugin archive can chain relative symbolic link entries to escape the plugin installation directory, writing arbitrary files and an executable backend binary outside that directory. The dropped executable runs with the privileges of the Grafana server process, resulting in remote code execution. Plugin archives are extracted before their signature is verified, so a valid plugin signature does not prevent the write. An operator can therefore be affected by installing a plugin that appears legitimate, as well as by installing a plugin from an arbitrary archive using grafana-cli, the GF_INSTALL_PLUGINS environment variable, or preinstall configuration. Grafana Enterprise is affected because it includes the same plugin extraction code as Grafana OSS. | ||||
