CVE-2025-40321 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: fix crash while sending Action Frames in standalone AP Mode Currently, whenever there is a need to transmit an Action frame, the brcmfmac driver always uses the P2P vif to send the "actframe" IOVAR to firmware. The P2P interfaces were available when wpa_supplicant is managing the wlan interface. However, the P2P interfaces are not created/initialized when only hostapd is managing the wlan interface. And if hostapd receives an ANQP Query REQ Action frame even from an un-associated STA, the brcmfmac driver tries to use an uninitialized P2P vif pointer for sending the IOVAR to firmware. This NULL pointer dereferencing triggers a driver crash. [ 1417.074538] Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000000 [...] [ 1417.075188] Hardware name: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5 (DT) [...] [ 1417.075653] Call trace: [ 1417.075662] brcmf_p2p_send_action_frame+0x23c/0xc58 [brcmfmac] [ 1417.075738] brcmf_cfg80211_mgmt_tx+0x304/0x5c0 [brcmfmac] [ 1417.075810] cfg80211_mlme_mgmt_tx+0x1b0/0x428 [cfg80211] [ 1417.076067] nl80211_tx_mgmt+0x238/0x388 [cfg80211] [ 1417.076281] genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0xe0/0x158 [ 1417.076302] genl_rcv_msg+0x220/0x2a0 [ 1417.076317] netlink_rcv_skb+0x68/0x140 [ 1417.076330] genl_rcv+0x40/0x60 [ 1417.076343] netlink_unicast+0x330/0x3b8 [ 1417.076357] netlink_sendmsg+0x19c/0x3f8 [ 1417.076370] __sock_sendmsg+0x64/0xc0 [ 1417.076391] ____sys_sendmsg+0x268/0x2a0 [ 1417.076408] ___sys_sendmsg+0xb8/0x118 [ 1417.076427] __sys_sendmsg+0x90/0xf8 [ 1417.076445] __arm64_sys_sendmsg+0x2c/0x40 [ 1417.076465] invoke_syscall+0x50/0x120 [ 1417.076486] el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0x48/0xf0 [ 1417.076506] do_el0_svc+0x24/0x38 [ 1417.076525] el0_svc+0x30/0x100 [ 1417.076548] el0t_64_sync_handler+0x100/0x130 [ 1417.076569] el0t_64_sync+0x190/0x198 [ 1417.076589] Code: f9401e80 aa1603e2 f9403be1 5280e483 (f9400000) Fix this, by always using the vif corresponding to the wdev on which the Action frame Transmission request was initiated by the userspace. This way, even if P2P vif is not available, the IOVAR is sent to firmware on AP vif and the ANQP Query RESP Action frame is transmitted without crashing the driver. Move init_completion() for "send_af_done" from brcmf_p2p_create_p2pdev() to brcmf_p2p_attach(). Because the former function would not get executed when only hostapd is managing wlan interface, and it is not safe to do reinit_completion() later in brcmf_p2p_tx_action_frame(), without any prior init_completion(). And in the brcmf_p2p_tx_action_frame() function, the condition check for P2P Presence response frame is not needed, since the wpa_supplicant is properly sending the P2P Presense Response frame on the P2P-GO vif instead of the P2P-Device vif. CVE-2023-54259 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soundwire: bus: Fix unbalanced pm_runtime_put() causing usage count underflow This reverts commit 443a98e649b4 ("soundwire: bus: use pm_runtime_resume_and_get()") Change calls to pm_runtime_resume_and_get() back to pm_runtime_get_sync(). This fixes a usage count underrun caused by doing a pm_runtime_put() even though pm_runtime_resume_and_get() returned an error. The three affected functions ignore -EACCES error from trying to get pm_runtime, and carry on, including a put at the end of the function. But pm_runtime_resume_and_get() does not increment the usage count if it returns an error. So in the -EACCES case you must not call pm_runtime_put(). The documentation for pm_runtime_get_sync() says: "Consider using pm_runtime_resume_and_get() ... as this is likely to result in cleaner code." In this case I don't think it results in cleaner code because the pm_runtime_put() at the end of the function would have to be conditional on the return value from pm_runtime_resume_and_get() at the top of the function. pm_runtime_get_sync() doesn't have this problem because it always increments the count, so always needs a put. The code can just flow through and do the pm_runtime_put() unconditionally.
CVE-2023-54268 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: debugobjects: Don't wake up kswapd from fill_pool() syzbot is reporting a lockdep warning in fill_pool() because the allocation from debugobjects is using GFP_ATOMIC, which is (__GFP_HIGH | __GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM) and therefore tries to wake up kswapd, which acquires kswapd_wait::lock. Since fill_pool() might be called with arbitrary locks held, fill_pool() should not assume that acquiring kswapd_wait::lock is safe. Use __GFP_HIGH instead and remove __GFP_NORETRY as it is pointless for !__GFP_DIRECT_RECLAIM allocation.

CVE-2023-54304 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A

CVE-2023-53840 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High

CVE-2025-40209 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix memory leak of qgroup_list in btrfs_add_qgroup_relation When btrfs_add_qgroup_relation() is called with invalid qgroup levels (src >= dst), the function returns -EINVAL directly without freeing the preallocated qgroup_list structure passed by the caller. This causes a memory leak because the caller unconditionally sets the pointer to NULL after the call, preventing any cleanup. The issue occurs because the level validation check happens before the mutex is acquired and before any error handling path that would free the prealloc pointer. On this early return, the cleanup code at the 'out' label (which includes kfree(prealloc)) is never reached. In btrfs_ioctl_qgroup_assign(), the code pattern is: prealloc = kzalloc(sizeof(*prealloc), GFP_KERNEL); ret = btrfs_add_qgroup_relation(trans, sa->src, sa->dst, prealloc); prealloc = NULL; // Always set to NULL regardless of return value ... kfree(prealloc); // This becomes kfree(NULL), does nothing When the level check fails, 'prealloc' is never freed by either the callee or the caller, resulting in a 64-byte memory leak per failed operation. This can be triggered repeatedly by an unprivileged user with access to a writable btrfs mount, potentially exhausting kernel memory. Fix this by freeing prealloc before the early return, ensuring prealloc is always freed on all error paths.

However, that fix introduced another bug: if interrupt is already disabled and a new disable request comes in, then the spinlock is not unlocked: root@localhost:~# printf '\x00\x00\x00\x00' > /dev/uio0 root@localhost:~# printf '\x00\x00\x00\x00' > /dev/uio0 root@localhost:~# [ 14.851538] BUG: scheduling while atomic: bash/223/0x00000002 [ 14.851991] Modules linked in: uio_dmem_genirq uio myfpga(OE) bochs drm_vram_helper drm_ttm_helper ttm drm_kms_helper drm snd_pcm ppdev joydev psmouse snd_timer snd e1000fb_sys_fops syscopyarea parport sysfillrect soundcore sysimgblt input_leds pcspkr i2c_piix4 serio_raw floppy evbug qemu_fw_cfg mac_hid pata_acpi ip_tables x_tables autofs4 [last unloaded: parport_pc] [ 14.854206] CPU: 0 PID: 223 Comm: bash Tainted: G OE 6.0.0-rc7 #21 [ 14.854786] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS rel-1.16.0-0-gd239552ce722-prebuilt.qemu.org 04/01/2014 [ 14.855664] Call Trace: [ 14.855861] <TASK> [ 14.856025] dump_stack_lvl+0x4d/0x67 [ 14.856325] dump_stack+0x14/0x1a [ 14.856583] __schedule_bug.cold+0x4b/0x5c [ 14.856915] __schedule+0xe81/0x13d0 [ 14.857199] ? idr_find+0x13/0x20 [ 14.857456] ? get_work_pool+0x2d/0x50 [ 14.857756] ? __flush_work+0x233/0x280 [ 14.858068] ? __schedule+0xa95/0x13d0 [ 14.858307] ? idr_find+0x13/0x20 [ 14.858519] ? get_work_pool+0x2d/0x50 [ 14.858798] schedule+0x6c/0x100 [ 14.859009] schedule_hrtimeout_range_clock+0xff/0x110 [ 14.859335] ? tty_write_room+0x1f/0x30 [ 14.859598] ? n_tty_poll+0x1ec/0x220 [ 14.859830] ? tty_ldisc_deref+0x1a/0x20 [ 14.860090] schedule_hrtimeout_range+0x17/0x20 [ 14.860373] do_select+0x596/0x840 [ 14.860627] ? __kernel_text_address+0x16/0x50 [ 14.860954] ? poll_freewait+0xb0/0xb0 [ 14.861235] ? poll_freewait+0xb0/0xb0 [ 14.861517] ? rpm_resume+0x49d/0x780 [ 14.861798] ? common_interrupt+0x59/0xa0 [ 14.862127] ? asm_common_interrupt+0x2b/0x40 [ 14.862511] ? __uart_start.isra.0+0x61/0x70 [ 14.862902] ? __check_object_size+0x61/0x280 [ 14.863255] core_sys_select+0x1c6/0x400 [ 14.863575] ? vfs_write+0x1c9/0x3d0 [ 14.863853] ? vfs_write+0x1c9/0x3d0 [ 14.864121] ? _copy_from_user+0x45/0x70 [ 14.864526] do_pselect.constprop.0+0xb3/0xf0 [ 14.864893] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.865228] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.865556] __x64_sys_pselect6+0x76/0xa0 [ 14.865906] do_syscall_64+0x60/0x90 [ 14.866214] ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x2a/0x50 [ 14.866640] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.866972] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.867286] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.867626] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd [...] stripped [ 14.872959] </TASK> ('myfpga' is a simple 'uio_dmem_genirq' driver I wrote to test this) The implementation of "uio_dmem_genirq" was based on "uio_pdrv_genirq" and it is used in a similar manner to the "uio_pdrv_genirq" driver with respect to interrupt configuration and handling. At the time "uio_dmem_genirq" was introduced, both had the same implementation of the 'uio_info' handlers irqcontrol() and handler(). Then commit 34cb27528398 ("UIO: Fix concurrency issue"), which was only applied to "uio_pdrv_genirq", ended up making them a little different. That commit, among other things, changed disable_irq() to disable_irq_nosync() in the implementation of irqcontrol(). The motivation there was to avoid a deadlock between irqcontrol() and handler(), since it added a spinlock in the irq handler, and disable_irq() waits for the completion of the irq handler. By changing disable_irq() to disable_irq_nosync() in irqcontrol(), we also avoid the sleeping-whil ---truncated---
CVE-2022-50651 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: eeprom: fix null-deref on genl_info in dump The similar fix as commit 46cdedf2a0fa ("ethtool: pse-pd: fix null-deref on genl_info in dump") is also needed for ethtool eeprom.
CVE-2022-50640 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: core: Fix kernel panic when remove non-standard SDIO card SDIO tuple is only allocated for standard SDIO card, especially it causes memory corruption issues when the non-standard SDIO card has removed, which is because the card device's reference counter does not increase for it at sdio_init_func(), but all SDIO card device reference counter gets decreased at sdio_release_func().
CVE-2022-50634 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: cw2015: Fix potential null-ptr-deref in cw_bat_probe() cw_bat_probe() calls create_singlethread_workqueue() and not checked the ret value, which may return NULL. And a null-ptr-deref may happen: cw_bat_probe() create_singlethread_workqueue() # failed, cw_bat->wq is NULL queue_delayed_work() queue_delayed_work_on() __queue_delayed_work() # warning here, but continue __queue_work() # access wq->flags, null-ptr-deref Check the ret value and return -ENOMEM if it is NULL.
