| CVE-2025-69420 | 1 Openssl | 1 Openssl | 2026-05-12 | 7.5 High |
| Issue summary: A type confusion vulnerability exists in the TimeStamp Response verification code where an ASN1_TYPE union member is accessed without first validating the type, causing an invalid or NULL pointer dereference when processing a malformed TimeStamp Response file. Impact summary: An application calling TS_RESP_verify_response() with a malformed TimeStamp Response can be caused to dereference an invalid or NULL pointer when reading, resulting in a Denial of Service. The functions ossl_ess_get_signing_cert() and ossl_ess_get_signing_cert_v2() access the signing cert attribute value without validating its type. When the type is not V_ASN1_SEQUENCE, this results in accessing invalid memory through the ASN1_TYPE union, causing a crash. Exploiting this vulnerability requires an attacker to provide a malformed TimeStamp Response to an application that verifies timestamp responses. The TimeStamp protocol (RFC 3161) is not widely used and the impact of the exploit is just a Denial of Service. For these reasons the issue was assessed as Low severity. The FIPS modules in 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue, as the TimeStamp Response implementation is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.0 and 1.1.1 are vulnerable to this issue. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is not affected by this issue. | ||||

| CVE-2025-31115 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-05-12 | 7.5 High |
| XZ Utils provide a general-purpose data-compression library plus command-line tools. In XZ Utils 5.3.3alpha to 5.8.0, the multithreaded .xz decoder in liblzma has a bug where invalid input can at least result in a crash. The effects include heap use after free and writing to an address based on the null pointer plus an offset. Applications and libraries that use the lzma_stream_decoder_mt function are affected. The bug has been fixed in XZ Utils 5.8.1, and the fix has been committed to the v5.4, v5.6, v5.8, and master branches in the xz Git repository. No new release packages will be made from the old stable branches, but a standalone patch is available that applies to all affected releases. | ||||
| CVE-2024-57940 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-05-12 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: fix the infinite loop in exfat_readdir() If the file system is corrupted so that a cluster is linked to itself in the cluster chain, and there is an unused directory entry in the cluster, 'dentry' will not be incremented, causing condition 'dentry < max_dentries' unable to prevent an infinite loop. This infinite loop causes s_lock not to be released, and other tasks will hang, such as exfat_sync_fs(). This commit stops traversing the cluster chain when there is unused directory entry in the cluster to avoid this infinite loop. | ||||

| CVE-2026-40131 | 1 Sap Se | 1 Sap Hana Deployment Infrastructure (hdi) Deploy Library | 2026-05-12 | 3.4 Low |
| SQL injection vulnerability exists in @sap/hdi-deploy package, where SQL queries are dynamically constructed using user input without proper parameterization or prepared statements. Successful exploitation could allow the high privileged users to alter the SELECT statements impacting confidentiality and availability of the application. There is no impact on integrity. | ||||
| CVE-2026-34260 | 1 Sap Se | 1 Sap S/4hana (sap Enterprise Search For Abap) | 2026-05-12 | 9.6 Critical |
| SAP S/4HANA (SAP Enterprise Search for ABAP) contains a SQL injection vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to inject malicious SQL statements through user-controlled input. The application directly concatenates this malicious user input into SQL queries, which are then passed to the underlying database without proper validation or sanitization. Upon successful exploitation, an attacker may gain unauthorized access to sensitive database information and could potentially crash the application. This vulnerability has a high impact on the confidentiality and availability of the application, while integrity remains unaffected. | ||||
| CVE-2026-43893 | 1 Photostructure | 1 Exiftool-vendored.js | 2026-05-12 | 8.2 High |
| exiftool-vendored provides cross-platform Node.js access to ExifTool. Prior to 35.19.0, exiftool-vendored starts ExifTool in -stay_open True -@ - mode, where arguments are read from stdin one per line. In affected versions, several caller-supplied strings were interpolated into ExifTool arguments without rejecting line delimiters. A newline or carriage return inside one of those strings could split a single intended argument into multiple ExifTool arguments, allowing argument injection. The fix also rejects NUL bytes as unsafe control characters. Applications that pass attacker-controlled strings to affected APIs may allow an attacker to make ExifTool read files accessible to the ExifTool process, or write output to attacker-chosen file system paths accessible to that process. No remote code execution has been demonstrated. This vulnerability is fixed in 35.19.0. | ||||

| CVE-2024-49938 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-05-12 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: Use __skb_set_length() for resetting urb before resubmit Syzbot points out that skb_trim() has a sanity check on the existing length of the skb, which can be uninitialised in some error paths. The intent here is clearly just to reset the length to zero before resubmitting, so switch to calling __skb_set_length(skb, 0) directly. In addition, __skb_set_length() already contains a call to skb_reset_tail_pointer(), so remove the redundant call. The syzbot report came from ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb(), but there's a similar usage of skb_trim() in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_cb(), change both while we're at it. | ||||

| CVE-2024-43828 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-05-12 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix infinite loop when replaying fast_commit When doing fast_commit replay an infinite loop may occur due to an uninitialized extent_status struct. ext4_ext_determine_insert_hole() does not detect the replay and calls ext4_es_find_extent_range(), which will return immediately without initializing the 'es' variable. Because 'es' contains garbage, an integer overflow may happen causing an infinite loop in this function, easily reproducible using fstest generic/039. This commit fixes this issue by unconditionally initializing the structure in function ext4_es_find_extent_range(). Thanks to Zhang Yi, for figuring out the real problem! | ||||
| CVE-2024-42090 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-05-12 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: fix deadlock in create_pinctrl() when handling -EPROBE_DEFER In create_pinctrl(), pinctrl_maps_mutex is acquired before calling add_setting(). If add_setting() returns -EPROBE_DEFER, create_pinctrl() calls pinctrl_free(). However, pinctrl_free() attempts to acquire pinctrl_maps_mutex, which is already held by create_pinctrl(), leading to a potential deadlock. This patch resolves the issue by releasing pinctrl_maps_mutex before calling pinctrl_free(), preventing the deadlock. This bug was discovered and resolved using Coverity Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST) by Synopsys, Inc. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qedi: Fix crash while reading debugfs attribute The qedi_dbg_do_not_recover_cmd_read() function invokes sprintf() directly on a __user pointer, which results into the crash. To fix this issue, use a small local stack buffer for sprintf() and then call simple_read_from_buffer(), which in turns make the copy_to_user() call.
